Cool little ice cream shop. The owner is a really nice guy. The homemade ice cream was phenomenal!
Wonderful customer service, friendly environment and delicious ice cream !
Pretty easily the best quality hard ice cream in the Manayunk/Roxborough area. I love the cookies and cream, PB fudge swirl, and Mexican chocolate. The ice cream is creamy, and the fudge and whipped cream they use on the sundaes is good too. There are a few seats where you can play old school arcade games but most people grab and go because it's a tight space.
The ice cream was delicious, and it was fun to enjoy it while watching the street.

Disappointing Experience at Tubby Robot.
I’ve visited Tubby Robot many times since its very first day.
For the last few years, I’ve encountered the same unnecessary rudeness from the same male employee. Most recently, after taking my order, he walked all the way to the back of the room (where the fridge is) and left my small cup of ice cream on a table near the fridge. Instead of bringing it to me at the front, where I was waiting and where he had to return anyway, he said, "Here’s your ice cream," forcing me to walk to the back through a narrow room to pick it up myself. When I asked him, "Could you bring it here to the front?" he simply said, "No."
You go to this place to lift your mood with good ice cream, but it’s instead being ruined by this employee.
Additionally, this is the only ice cream place I’ve ever been to that doesn’t offer samples. It’s frustrating not being able to try flavors before buying.

Amazing ice cream, great portions, great prices, and friendly owner. I came here with my family and we were so happy we stopped by. Will be back for sure!

Ice cream is so good and i loooove the mexican chocolate. The employees are super rude every time though. How can anyone working in an ice cream shop be so miserable? The attitude and snark from the employees has definitely been a deterrent to going there more often.

I went in personally to visit Michelle as I heard her scoop slinging is world renowned. She didn’t disappoint. Not only did she commend me on my recent birthday, but she delivered the cold treat in a world renowned cone that tasted heavenly. I highly recommend this scoop of Philadelphia to anyone that wanders in off the street. The hottest service with the coldest ice cream around. I added a picture of a great ice cream cone cake. They don’t offer this, but if they did. It would far surpass the one in the image.

Went in yesterday for my first visit. I asked for a sample of the #MexicanChocolate, which I wasn't familiar with and was told "we don't do samples"

I ordered the Belgian Waffle with one scoop of chocolate. The woman made it in a waffle cone. When she gave it to me, I corrected that I ordered the waffle not the cone. She said a waffle would take 20 minutes, and she didn't charge me for a Belgian Waffle anyway and asked to see my receipt. The difference was less than a $1.00 which I was willing to pay. Although I didn't appreciate the attitude, I figured she just had a bad day. So I just took the cone. Unfortunately, my cone was stale and the ice cream tasted freezer burned. Very disappointing for a $7.75 single scoop, stale cone which went in the trash.

Why are they closed early on a Friday night in June? The sign says 10pm, but the door was locked when I arrived at 945!

Ice cream was decent nice texture and the hot fudge was the best part. It was very interesting. Reminded me of the old-fashioned sees candy, chewy chocolate drops with the almond in the center. But they don’t give out samples so I didn’t want to order my own since one small scoop with fudge was over six dollars. The guy at the counter was not very nice either.. plus you couldn’t see the ice cream because of the frosted glass so I was nervous.
