The best Japanese food here

The food we had was delicious, and the service was solid. However, they serve foie gras. If you care about animal welfare, you don't make, serve or buy foie gras. If the owners stop serving this ingredient that requires animals be tortured to create, I will upgrade my review.

I don't like making this kind of review, especially of small businesses. I urge the owners to review their sourcing to ensure *all* of the animals from which they derive their ingredients are ethically sourced.

This is a hidden gem, me and my husband have been coming here for over a year now and we absolutely love this it, it’s the best Japanese food in town in our opinion. Everything we have tried from their menu is delicious, they never disappoint, their service is great, staff is friendly and always bring your food very fast. Their beer selection is awesome and the decoration is nice.

I took a chance on this place as I was visiting philly from 2 1/2 hours away.

I was very happy with the service and quality of the food. Everything tasted amazing and I will go here exclusively for japanese food anytime I visit philly in the future.

Only complaint i have is the shaky seats. The back rests move a lot if someone is sitting behind you.

I’ve always been in a rush when passing this place but finally decided to go in for hot ramen. Everyone was very nice and I loved the atmosphere. You have to check it out!
Right on the southbound 17 bus route so you can spend the day in Rittenhouse after lunch or go out after dinner and head south if you need or north 1 block over!

Remarkable thoughtfulness goes into the experience here, and while the uni tasted not fresh I enjoyed most other aspects of this meal. Ended up ordering and spending way more than I expected to lol. Lots of low cost items on a menu destroy me.

Everything was great. Food and service was good for a good price. Will definitely be back !

A quiet hidden gem that I can’t stop thinking about, which resulted in me making my boyfriend take me here twice in the same week (I already want to go back again). I was going to gatekeep this place, but I can’t!! The space is chill and not too crowded.

We tried the 1900 Pine St. Roll and UGHHH it was goooddddd! But the real star? The Seared Salmon Nigiri with Black Truffle Mayo. When I tell you it melts in your mouth…TAKE MY MONEY.

The Yaki Udon with Steak wasn’t my favorite, but my boyfriend loved it (he kept raving about it the whole way home).

Plus, they’re open until 2AM, which is perfect for those who want to grab a late night dinner after work or grab a bite for the late night cravings. Honestly, this place deserves all the love and I’m waiting to go back again.

Incredible value for incredible food. I got the bento box with the best crispy tofu I’ve ever had. Veggies cooked perfectly. And I had leftover fried rice for lunch the next day. Very kind staff as well. Will definitely be back
