Food is very good. Great local craft beer. Staff is friendly and attentive. One downside was there were multiple rats we saw crawling on the floor, as we are close to the subway entrance.
Not enough chairs at the bar and people put their bags on the stool next to them. Mostly empty bar area but no seats, left there and had some drinks at the Air Grille across the street. Get much better views too.
It’s me and my fiancés go to date spot nice staff, beautiful & always themed atmosphere depending on the holiday or season. Great food and happy hours at 4pm. We love Uptown! Highly recommend!
Didn’t try the food but the outside seating is a great touch, especially by the fire.
Cold night weekend before Christmas. I don’t think this place has any heat indoors or outside. The heaters outside all looked damaged and couldn’t find one that worked. It also wasn’t decorated that great for the holidays. I’d skip this place because there are others that are better
Upon entering we were charged a cover. It wasn’t busy so that was odd. We headed to the back area that is outside, and has 2 bars. Unfortunately, the bartender at the smaller bar, immediately seen upon entering the outside area was intoxicated and had to retake our order 4 times. She also was pouring shots for other employees before serving us. Eventually, after taking my friend’s order for the 4th time, she exited the bar and didn’t make the drink or return for over 25 minutes. After we gave up on that bar, we went to the larger bar to the left and waited about 10 minutes, after ordering, to get a simple margarita. I would encourage management to check the cameras of Saturday December 7th, around 9:30pm - 9:45pm. Your employee lost the business of 6 individuals, who will never go back.
Fun spot, friendly staff, had seasonal drinks while visiting Christmas Village!
I’ve been to this place a few times and have always had great service. The bartenders are always so attentive and the Christmas vibe is fantastic. Unfortunately we were there last night and witnessed a sad encounter between what looked like 2 different families. As I read the previous reviews it looks like these above commenters may have been involved. I witnessed the whole thing from another table. And what was said above is not what happened. The family that came in and were told to sit at that table also had a confrontation with others almost as soon as they walked in. They came over to the table taking chairs from the other family’s table and when asked about it shoved the chair into one gentleman and a woman. They became very aggressive towards the gentleman and his family. The woman immediately called them racist which from what I could tell was not the case. They entered the restaurant aggressive and I was glad the establishment handled it the way they did.
First time there and I witness where a group was kicked out because of a drunk white family related to the bartender was acting up. They were drunk and screaming racial slurs to a group of people and supervisor intervened and dismissed the group that was sitting down being attacked by the whites. We have to do better in America
Just be safe guys, the employees treat the drunks better than their paying customers. Had a drunk boyfriend of the bartender attacking us tonight and we were put out. We were completely sober literally just walked in and had to deal with a group of drunk racist. The manager or supervisor literally told us that the guy who started the drama was a boyfriend of the bartender. That’s some wild stuff idk 🤷🏽♀️

Unfortunately if you’re of color be safe they’re definitely for the gay and the white. Witnesses it today with other customers I watched and observed
BEWARE: TOURIST TRAP
I happened to walk into this bar while running errands so I didn’t have huge expectations. The spiked apple cider was $18 after tax. I was willing to pay this price expecting to receive a fancy christmas themed drink as it was marketed. Unfortunately what I received was a POORLY mixed drink that came in dixie cups! I haven’t seen a dixie cup since a college party lol I couldn’t believe this is what I paid $18 for. This establishment clearly prioritizes the aesthetic & vibe more than actually providing a great experience for the consumers. This is why i’ll call it a tourist trap. Someone who isn’t from the city probably wouldn’t mind, but if you want a genuine Christmas experience thats worth the money just go to Tinsel
After walking around in Love Park during the Christmas Village we headed across the street just to check out the Uptown beer garden and it was amazing. They had done such a great job with decorating for Christmas and had lots of different bar areas inside and outside depending on what you're in the mood for. Propane heaters available outside and we were lucky to sit next to a nice propane fire pit to warm up. We did not eat so can't rate the food but as a bar experience, especially during the holidays it is well recommended.
$5 cover to get in to the most gimmicky, basic place you’ve ever been to just to drink some overpriced beer and eat some overpriced food.
Honestly had a lot of fun at this place, great atmosphere & bartenders. Just DO NOT order their sweeter drinks. They taste like straight simple syrup and give u a nasty hangover.
