Quiche was not good at all. Did come with a small side salad which was decent. The matcha was very watered down and the cold brew really didn’t seem like anything special.

The iced latte I had was fantastic, best I've had in awhile.

The avocado toast was okay: the bread was delicious but the avocado did not taste very fresh to me and kinda ruined the dish. I see that this is a common complaint in the reviews for this place, so I hope mgmt implements a change to the dish soon.

COFFEE ONLY REVIEW: I do not recommend this shop if you are looking for an elevated high quality barista made coffee drink. This is not a specialty coffee shop and they are not dialing thier espresso machine or steaming milk properly. Go to Volo or Pilgrim!

This is my favorite coffee shop in manayunk, I’ve never had a problem getting a table to sit down and do my work, but it’s also good to just grab a coffee to go too. I like how they have a rotating menu of new items to try and seasonal flavors that always correspond with the weather.

Valerio is the best coffee shop in the area. All of the team members are very hospitable at all times, even during a rush. We frequent Valerio and have never had a bad experience even stopping by during the marathon or other large scale events.

If you want overpriced bitter coffee where they underpay the staff ($11.50 an hour) and tax their tips as income…Go to Valerio. When I was hired by Ashlynn, it felt like a fun place to work part time. I felt proud to go into work. The owners daughter is the manager now with zero experience who will threaten a demerit system to her underpaid staff. She’s able to get kind people like Ashlynn, Cole, and now myself, fired. I was fired for “scheduling issues” that were known at the day of hiring. If she doesn’t like something, she can get staff like myself, fired. So, do not apply there: it is not a safe work environment. Nepotism is at a toxic level. They microwave all the meats, so it’s trash overpriced food. They lie about the expiration dates on their baked goods because the manager (the owners daughter) can’t properly do inventory (something she fired someone else over). Behind every cup of coffee there is an underpaid employee who is being treated really poorly. If you’re in the Trappe/Limerick area, just keep driving past Valerio, like you naturally do anyways, and go to Javas Brewin. That coffee shop has been around for decades in our community and is run by genuine people that treat their staff kindly and make all their food by scratch, with no microwaves. And it’s ALL cheaper than Valerios “food.” Moral of the story: Shop Local, just find a local spot that actually cares about their staff and the products they sell.

Went recently and the person making my food burnt my bagel so bad it was inedible. I didn’t notice until I got home so I couldn’t even get a new one

Good atmosphere and thought it would be better but overall experience was fair. Avocado toast had spreadable avocado that I get at the supermarket. They ran out of knives and the barista told me that they've been out for 2 days (so go buy some?). Vanilla latte and chai latte were fair. Too many vegan baked goods and not enough normal pastries.

Stopped in for breakfast and got a sesame bagel with egg and cheese. I wish I got the 20 oz. chai latte with almond milk because it was SO GOOD! 😊👌🏼

DONT COME HERE. It started Saturday morning. I was hesitant to walk in because Valerio has wronged me before but I was perplexed by the level of disbelief and disrespect. I get we are in inflation times but in what world does a small PSL cost 9$? I was already aggy after that (just for the latte to be mid) it was actually pretty warm and all my ice melted after a couple seconds. I like my drinks chilled, especially when they are over 9$! So I ask the barista if I can get a little more ice. She said AND I QUOTE “we are low on ice right now”. I honestly feel like it was racially motivated bc what do you mean you’re low on ice and it’s 12pm and you still have 3 hours until you close??? I was dumbfounded and speechless. You are a cafe. I’m sure you can get like 20 pounds of ice with the 9$ I just spent on my mediocre warm latte. Don’t come here and be wronged like I was. Please know better and do better.

ever since Julianna stopped running the Collegeville location, service had gone away down. incorrect orders, long waits while employees have personal conversations or check their phones..... we need a good manager who runs a tight ship

I can't speak to the quality of the coffee or pastries because they won't serve coffee in a personal cup. And even though it's got tables to sit down, they also only use disposable cups for dine in service. An environmental disaster that they attribute to Covid, but many other cafes in Philadelphia can do it. If even a monolith like Starbucks can manage it ( and they give a discount for a personal cup), it's certainly safe and legal.
