Perfect in every way. It was slightly loud inside, but not too bad.

All you need is the Sorrento cocktail and the focaccia with honey butter - easily my favorite drink / pairing in the city. That being said, I am overdue to try a full dinner and or brunch here. I’ve only heard good things !! To date, I’ve only had a couple drinks at their bar and it did not disappoint !! A great addition to the Philly restaurant scene.

I have eaten a couple of times at Via Locusta. Some of the best Italian food I have eaten outside of Italy. Wonderful and friendly staff.

Last night was probably my 7th or 8th time eating here and I honestly don’t know why I’ve never written a review.. It was amazing as usual-I definitely recommend the tasting menu option that allows for 2 pasta dishes! Especially love the agnolotti and the cacio e pepe. Also our server (sadly I can’t remember his name) was ON IT. We were sitting outside and about halfway through our meal it started storming, but he never missed a beat. Thank you for another amazing meal Via Locusta 🫶

Great location, excellent service! We enjoyed sitting outside and people watching. The agnolotti and burrata were 10/10 amazing. Drinks were refreshing. Everything else we ordered was decent, but not extraordinary.

Good food. Mostly had the pasta, which was good. Some of the pasta dishes were not very flavorful. The ravioli was great! The carrots and focaccia were great. And the Budini desert is awesome. Recommend reservations.

I celebrated my birthday here with my girlfriends, and we were not disappointed! The whole evening was absolutely lovely. The drinks were refreshing and beautifully made—just what we needed to kick off the celebration.
The food was equally impressive. The pasta was to die for—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The beet salad was fresh and vibrant, and the mozzarella dish was light, refreshing, and full of flavor.
From start to finish, everything was spot-on. I’ll definitely be back—this place made my birthday feel extra special!

Via Locusta is a great neighborhood spot. Their happy hour is one of my favorites, the food and cocktails are excellent. However, I would not recommend dining inside in July and August unless you enjoy feeling sticky and actively sweating while you eat. It is hotter inside than outside with no fans or air circulation. The bartenders were behind the bar with a mini fan pointed at them and looked ready to pass out. This is not a one time, AC broke situation either - in the summer you can feel the heat when you walk in. So great spot as long as it’s not hot outside.

Eat outside if it’s hot out- inside is pretty but it was SO much hotter inside compared to outside! Service was really great- our waiter was attentive, I just wish he had been a bit more familiar with the menu ingredients. We got 2 starters, an entree, a side, and drinks. The cocktail was cute but tasted pretty bad, wine was very mediocre and acidic for a Cabernet. The foccacia and honey butter are absolutely delicious and were the redeeming part of the meal. The cacio e Pepe was pretty decent, but the sauce was dry/grainy. Asparagus dish was really not great and unbalanced with the ingredients, especially the cheese. Chicken alla griglia was extremely dry and didn’t taste like it had been marinated at all. The escarole on the dish was delicious and helped balance out the dryness enough to eat the chicken. Overall, I wanted to like this place but for the cost, there’s numerous other restaurants in walking distance that are significantly better quality.

Everything was fantastic and the service was outstanding! The Tagliatelle may have changed my life. Fresh ingredients and great atmosphere. It’s hot inside in the summer (no fans and they keep the door open to serve the patio outside), but it’s a beautiful space and a new favorite Italian spot in Philly!
