I have been coming to Victor's with my wife, my brother and my sister- in-law every Saturday consistently for the past two years. Having spent a good amount of my twenties and early thirties touring every nook and cranny in this city, I think that it is pretty safe to say that i am somewhat of an authority or a connoseur on not only lunch , but most specifically where to luncheon like a champ. Victor's offers a great variety of Mediterranean food and brick- oven pizza, so good it may make you think twice about getting those very expensive tickets to visit Roma or the West Bank when you can find dare just as good for way cheaper here in town. Another plus are the $3 mimosas that are offered all day on Sunday; this is the surest way to get rid of the blues that come with the post-Saturday binge-and-day- drinking hangover that makes you feel as if your life is hanging from a cliff in the Himalayas and you just watched all of your happiness plunge straight down into the void. It also does help to be tended by one of the finest and ablest bartenders this side of broad and South of market st: Alyssa, a happy- go-lucky girl with a load of funny stories and a heart of gold; reason perhaps why her favorite color is yellow, this also being one of those little things that you learn about a person after they have slinged you so many drinks over such a long period of time you feel like you should be invited to every birthday, bahmitzva, or event because you might as well be best friends for life. And it is that level of Cheers-flavored, everybody- knows-your-name kind of environment that makes Victor's my favorite place to mingle even though I am no longer single.

Great neighborhood bar. I like grabbing a slice and a beer here on my way home from work. The dough is very good.
