Everything about Winkel was amazing: gluten free options, friendly staff, and tastes that had our table quiet due to the savoring. My niece loved the giant hot chocolate and waffle. My sister had the eggs Benedict with artichokes (can't remember its menu name), and she couldn't get over how many artichokes were included--and she thought the hollandaise was perfect. I had a breakfast sandwich one day and the Waldorf salad the next day. The salad dressing - a mustard vinegarette was tangy and delicious. The gluten free bread on my breakfast sandwich was like BREAD and the eggs, gouda, and thick-cut bacon were an amazing combo with the potatoes and salad. The Waldorf salad was flavorful and amazing. We went to Winkel two days in a row because we loved it so much. Get there if you're in Philly!

We ordered the pancakes and chicken and waffles, side of “hashed” potatoes. The pancakes did not have any flavor at all, like not an ounce of vanilla extract or some sort of flavor in sight. The chicken in the chicken and waffles was seasoned… interestingly. When I saw potato hash, I thought they were going to be cut up, but they were more like whole potatoes with no seasoning. Maybe it was an off day or maybe because we were one of the few in the restaurant, but it was underwhelming given the reviews we read before coming.

I attended a charity dinner at Winkle and the food was delicious. Came to table fresh and hot and I got a lovely piece of fish. Carrot cake was great. We enjoyed the atmosphere and servers were efficient and friendly. Will go back for sure.

Excellent food. Great service. We had the Snert entree for brunch. Very tasty, but neither of us had much sausage in it, which was disappointing for the price point. I had two or three little pieces. But regardless, it was very good!

Food was fantastic. Maggie was our server. Her recommendations were top notch. Great quality of food and so much love put into the cooking. The brisket hash was beautifully cooked. The chicken and waffles with the scrapple gravy was amazing. They use dark meat for the chicken. The best part. The staff is friendly and lovely. Will definitely be coming back.
