We absolutely loved our first time at Zesty's. We chose it for the menu and vibes and they nailed both! First time trying grilled octopus & can't wait to go back and try again. Our server was really kind and lovely. We truly enjoyed the very slowly paced entrees, main course, & coffee. Know that it took time but we were loving the company and live music...so it was perfect for us. The live music was loud, but it was fine for us...we could still talk and enjoy the night. The owner's table side visit was authentic and not just a passing by “how was dinner?” Instead, a full conversation about our favorite dishes. With the belly dancer and live music.. Felt like dinner theater! Would highly recommend!
Great service great food, and beautiful music with a talented belly dancer. The ambience with the fish tank is unforgettable and worthy of photos. You will never see anything like it anywhere.
Thank Goodness for Manayunk Restaurant Week. I never knew what I was missing. Zesty's will definitely see us again. Our server was the sweetest ever. The food was magnificent. I wasn't expecting to get so many mussels in an appetizer serving. The chef came out to chat with the patrons and he told us about the vegetarian piranha (who knew?). Absolutely loved my experience.
Food was mediocre at best, overpriced. Our server was excellent. The dining room was 1/4 full when we arrived, and they sat us right in front of the stage. By the time our entrees arrived the live music was so loud and the belly dancer a foot away, we shoveled the food in our mouths to leave. Won't ever be back.
Felt like stepping into a European restaurant. The food was very good and the service outstanding. The owner stopped by and we had a nice chat. Very personable. This was our first time here but not our last.
Good Greek food and drink is to be found here in the heart of beautiful downtown Manayunk. Even better, wonderful live music of The Great American Songbook on selected fine evenings .
The octopus appetizer was amazing but the salmon main dish was nothing special - the same I would get anywhere and no Greek flair. It was great that the chef came around to greet the guests.
We've been fans for 30 years & it's still great. The spreads & the hummus are delicious classics. The feta is tops, & our friends loved the egg lemon soup. My arni souvlaki was really fine, with a lot of tender tasty lamb plus ample onion & red pepper. My wife put an order of calimari on a Greek salad for her main course & highly recommends it. Our friends devoured moussaka and a fish dish with true delight. A bottle of very nice moschofilero completed a wonderful and authentic Greek meal. Even better, the staff, service, and setting can't be beat.
Great Food and Great Service. Our waitress was very attentive and passioinate sout the food. It was a great experience!
Fabulous food, service and ambiance. A rare 'while tablecloth' restaurant in Philly and environs. Wait staff is 'white tablecloth. The restaurant owner is on site and is very cordial, greeting diners and inquiring about satisfaction. On weekends there is live music which was too loud, occasionally making it difficult to have a conversation. This could be easily resolved. I plan to go back again and again and again.

I enjoyed my dinner at Zesty's on Thursday, July 30th.I brought two of my friends so that they could experience good Greek food in a wonderful restaurant. The ambience was terrific. I enjoyed the live music. I will return again and I will tell others to include this amazing restaurant on their list of best restaurants. Great chef, Great staff, and terrific food! Adrienne 7-31-25
It was great and the owner chef (Tom) is always available walks around and is very personable
We don't like driving on 76 but it's worth it for Zesty's. The food is awesome, the service is excellent, and the owner makes sure you are comfortable. Be sure to leave room for dessert.
I just wanted to share what a fantastic experience we had dining at Zesty. We ordered several appetizers to share—Saganaki, Octopus, and the Greek spread—and each one was flavorful and beautifully presented. For me, it was the first time ordering lamb (Arni Souvlaki), and it did not disappoint. The flavor was rich and well-balanced, and the meat was incredibly tender. What made the evening even more special was that one of our friends is originally from Greece, and even he was thoroughly impressed by the food and ambiance. He also looked over the wine list and found the selection of Greek wines to be very impressive. Adding to the charm of the night, the restaurant provided live entertainment with a band playing traditional Greek music. It really elevated the entire experience and added an authentic touch that made us feel like we were transported to Greece for the evening. Overall, Zesty delivered a memorable night filled with great food, music, and atmosphere.
