For a counter serve restaurant, it was fabulous. She did nit call us when the pizza was ready, she bought it to us.
The pizza was so old school flat round pizza. Exactly what I have been longing. No one makes it like this. So flimsy that when you hold it by the crust, the front, pointy part flops down. The kind where the cheese easily slids off the slice. Yum!

Food was good, but this place gets 2 stars because of the rude service at the counter. When I said my order was ready for pickup, the girl working there snapped back, ‘Anyone can say that pointing at the order, tell me your name,’ instead of simply asking politely which the other guy did earlier. Great food means nothing when the front staff is this unpleasant.

Stopped here for pizza this evening while visiting Philadelphia. We ordered a salad & then a cheese pizza. It was delicious! Dough was very fresh & just the right amount of cheese & sauce! I highly recommend getting their pizza when in area.

If I could give then a 0 I would. They never deliver on time for my residency meetings every year. I will tell all the programs to never order from here again

It's easy for me to find a Cheesesteak or Hoagie in Philly that I enjoy but finding a good Pizza place that sells FRESH slices, not so easy. (for me) I am very pleased to report that Zio's Brick Oven Pizza is the place that finally satisfied my pizza slice craving. I asked for 2 slices, warm but not to hot (ya know what I mean? Warm enough to eat right away but not burn the roof of my mouth hot) I got one plain because when I try a new Pizza place the plain slice has to be sampled first, if they can't produce a good plain slice then usually there isn't an hope for anything else, my second slice was sausage. The gentleman working at the counter was very friendly (not a common thing in the heart of the city) and warmed up my slices to the exact temperature I was looking for. They had ample grated cheese, hot pepper, and Oregano available if you want to add to your desire. The 1st bite was perfect! Nice crunch and perfect cheese to sauce ratio. The Sausage slice also had a great crunch and was delicious. I am very happy to have found Zio's for when I am in the mood for a fast slice. You should definitely try them out. Oh, I will be back to try their arancini. They looked great but they had to pass my pizza test first, which they did with flyin' colors.
