My family's favorite ice cream spot.
Average+ ice cream, vanilla is surprisingly not that good, it's OK in general, 4 stars would be a bit of a stretch, therefore 3 is sufficient.
Horrible experience here. I ordered the Zsa-ffle w/b.pecan ice cream. This was my first time here. Once I got my order at the window. I was so confused bc, it looked nth like the ig photos. I asked the girl, is she sure this is my order. She was extremely rude. I’m all about customer service & this place lacks that. I won’t be back!
30 min ago I decided to take a walk up to Zsa’s for some ice cream. I got myself some and something to go for my son. Everything was fine until the woman who called out my ice cream, she was the nastiest I’ve experienced in a long time. I was shocked and confused.
She called my order, I said yes and walked up. I saw my cone laying sideways and my son’s cup with no lid. I simply reminded her it was to go. Well honey, IF LOOKS COULD KILL! She gave me the most annoyed look I’ve ever received, just for asking my to-go order to actually be for to-go. If there was a miscommunication between the order taker and preparer, that shouldn’t have been reflected in the service provided to me .
Then she handed me my order: 2 scoops on a cone, 2 in a cup. My cone was still sideways and as soon as I picked it up, it fell apart. I asked if she could secure it since it had already fallen apart, and she flat out said “NO.” I said “pardon me?” and she went on about how “it’s soft ice cream” (it was hard!) and “that’s why I gave you a spoon.”
Listen, I did not walk 3 blocks and spend $18 for a sideways ice cream cone. I don’t recall ever receiving my ice cream like this in the past. I just wanted it upright so I could eat it happily on my walk back home. That’s it. A simple request from a paying customer.
I told her blatantly I've never in my years of coming here have I seen her or experienced this level of service. I told her that her service sucks ( because it did) . She said, “I’m sorry.” I said, “No, you’re not.” I was chatting with the cashier about the closing this winter. It's sad. However, if that is a reflection of service. Goodbye.
The ice cream is good, but the service I experienced tonight was terrible. Completely took me and my friend by surprise and honestly left me offended.
I’m going to miss the lemon buttermilk with blue corn more than anything. They have wonderful flavors and you can tell that they settle on the quality of their ingredients.
My first time there was a little confusing finding the entrance/window to order (by the way, it’s in the back).
Secondly, they don’t offer samples, which is disappointing, but it’s their policy. Buying a full scoop of a flavor I’ve never tried before is a gamble I don’t like taking.
Third, it’s about $6–7 for a single scoop. I think that’s a bit pricey (IMO), but since I only go once in a while, I guess I don’t mind paying it.
Fourth, seating is limited if you want to sit and enjoy your ice cream. I’ve only been there twice, and both times I ended up eating in my car. It kind of takes away from my summer evening ritual: sitting outside while the warm air melts into the ice cream and I have to eat it as fast as it melts (the little kid in me still loves that, lol).
That said, their banana pudding ice cream was delicious. I’ll definitely stop by one last time to treat my sweet tooth before they permanently close.
A neighborhood staple!! The best double chocolate PB chunk ice cream, and the cones are better than I’ve had anywhere. The staff are always the nicest too. I don’t need samples to know the flavors are good. No seating, but Germantown Ave is a great spot to explore. Definitely recommend.
My favorite ice cream of all time! Nothing will ever top the brown butter pecan. NOTHING and NO ONE! I truly hope we'll still be able to buy pints somewhere, even after they close. I'm holding out hope.
Zsa's is always a treat, and while I always try to convince myself to try a scoop of something new, I can never get enough of the brown butter pecan ice cream - it's downright phenomenal, and I want to eBay able to enjoy it for the rest of time!
They don’t offer samples and customer service is terrible. Asked why I am not able to try a flavor I have never heard of and I got the window slammed in my face. Will never return.

Pleased don't go 🥺
Amazing! sad they’re closing in a year and I just found this place. Highly recommend trying them out.
The Home made Butter Pecan Ice Cream is the most delicious I have ever tasted. A bit pricey for my budget but, definitely worth the experience !
Perfect every single time we've visited!
Some of the best ice cream I have had! So sad it’s closing
