“We were traveling through Penn state while heading back to Michigan and were in the mood for ribs. We came upon Bonfire Old Fashioned BBQ. What a wonderful surprise. The owner and staff went out of their way to welcome us. They were all so friendly. They were the best ribs, cornbread and fries. So delicious. And to top it all the owner’s son had created an out of this world dessert. Their cornbread was so good on its own but the Deep fried cornbread was amazing with a strawberry or raspberry drizzle and a vanilla maple bourbon pudding. So yummy. Thank you for a delicious meal and a bit of rivalry between schools. Wishing you continued success.”

However, there was so much rice in both and less meat, so we found the meat was not sufficient to eat the rice. “OMG the food is incredible! I had the arepa pabellón with chicken stew and it's hands down one of the best things I've ever eaten. I've only had arepas in Colombia and have never tried Venezuelan arepas; so glad I was able to try them here. The service was super quick and friendly too. I can't wait to come back 🥰”

I was impressed by the communications while coordinating regarding clarity and promptness. The set up was above what was promised and the outdoor bar right next to our semi-private event was clutch. “What nice owners husband and wife. Upon entering, it was immediately pleasant and informative. An excellent choice of various pizzas and pastas. The pizzas are made and baked right in front of you. The pasta ordered was very tasty and fresh, as was the salad. This is another pizzeria with heart and soul. Definitely recommended!”
