“It’s a very traditional breakfast style place in downtown State College. On the weekends, there’s almost always a line to get in for breakfast and the weight can be over an hour for a table.”

“I used to say that there were very few good restaurants in State College.... Well now there's one more that's bringing up that number. I've never had a better bowl of chilli than here! “I love Crumbl, always go to the state College store, never any issues, great kids, BUT good golly, teach them how to acknowledge, greet and speak. Sheesh. These kids were mute, didn’t even speak to each other. So awkward. The one kid, stood there, dipping something and looking out of the corner of his eye, like nobody’s even making any eye contact, not even turning their head. The kid who handed me the cookies, pleasantly spoke, was very nice. But they def could benefit from “people skills 101””

Everything about the Allen Street Grill is well detailed, from the welcoming ambience, to the impeccable and friendly service, to the well curated wine and cocktail collection, and the creative and talented kitchen. “Their food is delicious and there's no question about it. We ordered a Mutton Biryani and Lamb Kabob Bowl. However, there was so much rice in both and less meat, so we found the meat was not sufficient to eat the rice. If Cafe Alina wants improve its services, think about our comments and take some remedial measures. Thanks!”

“We came for dinner with a group of 16 while in town for a swim meet. Some restaurants struggle with large groups but not this place! Our waitress was absolutely fantastic at making sure everyone had what they needed. The atmosphere was perfect for a group. The main takeaway from the entire group was that the FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE! Two of the chefs, Alec and Quinn, came out to the table to make sure everything was ok and even answered questions about some of the dishes. The adults were loving the crafted cocktails and the kids loved the desserts! If you’re looking for a farm to table style restaurant that provides great service and pays attention to all the details-this is it!”

“OMG the food is incredible! I had the arepa pabellón with chicken stew and it's hands down one of the best things I've ever eaten. I've only had arepas in Colombia and have never tried Venezuelan arepas; so glad I was able to try them here. The service was super quick and friendly too. I can't wait to come back 🥰”

“I often go to Teadori because their iced chocolate cheese foam is super delicious! They also provide lots of games you can play with friends. Unfortunately, they close during campus breaks. I've also tried their katsu—it’s really tasty!”

There are menu options for everyone and great prices for the size and quality of the drinks. The interior is super cute and you can get some Hibachi Express to go with your drink or shop the market in the back if you're in the mood.”

“The shawarma was not that great because the garlic was not fried well and why is the shawarma spherical in shape? Too many pickles and minced chicken! No smoky flavour in the chicken.

Another day, I tried the Navratan korma and it was delicious and the mutton curry was decent but didn't seem that fresh. Although, the indian dishes were definitely better.

About the service, they charged me someone else’s bill and they didn’t even realize it until I came back and asked for an explanation. Please pay attention to your customers.

“The cafe is clean, and very well priced! I got a bagel sandwich with bacon, and 2 drinks from the fridge and paid $16!! You go to any airport and you’re paying $16 for a bag of chips and a deep breath. The sandwich was made fresh, nothing frozen, very tasty! Great experience and food, made my flying experience here a lot better and a great way to start my morning.”
