I've been coming to 61C Cafe since I was in college in the early 2000s, and it's my absolute favorite coffeeshop ever. If anything should happen to this place, I will commit ritual seppuku right in the middle of Murray Avenue.
Classic little cafe with a lot of great cookie and pastry options, and a few premade sandwiches too! It’s nothing fancy, just good quality coffee and snacks for an actually reasonable price, perfect spot to relax, chat, or do some work!
Because of circumstances, I've eaten breakfast at three different places in Squirrel Hill this week. This is the only time I'm leaving a review because the other two were easily forgettable. Today I had a breakfast wrap that was really good and well-balanced. The coffee was excellent and not overpriced. The shop itself shows a bit of age, but it works well and fits with the lack of pretentiousness here. Next time in the area, I won't bother trying another place....
