I placed a takeout order at the Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh) location on 3/29, around 5pm. I live in SE Virginia and my son’s father lives in Aspinwall, we were meeting 1/2 way in Maryland for spring break so I asked him if he’d pick up and take out order for me at the FC restaurant, and bring it with him and our son. (Nothing in my area compares to Aladdin’s!!). When I called, an amazing woman answered the phone, I asked ONLY if they could put the sauce on the side for my Shawarma so it wasn’t soggy 8 hours later when I’d be home to eat! Without second thought, she offered to make both of the Shawarma’s “deconstructed” with everything separate so I could “build” the wraps myself!! I also ordered the Dawali! When my ex handed me the bag and went to the cooler to get my food, I noticed what the crew had done…. They put everything in separate takeout containers and even wrote instructions on the Dawali container for me to heat, when I got home!! Everything was separate and the amount of extra time that was spent on the order was above and beyond!! It may seem simple, but for them to take the time and effort to make sure my food was just as good as it would have been if I ate in the store was really refreshing!! So THANK YOU to the Fox Chapel location for packing my order with such attention and my ex will be bringing a cooler with Shawarma’s and Diwali’s each time we meet in Maryland!!!
I recently visited the Mayfield location. I highly recommend not only the great food, but the dedicated staff as well. The manager, Jay, was very welcoming to everyone who entered, and in my case I was pleasantly surprised that he was very well versed in the various food options and knew what was vegan. That is so hard to find in restaurants; knowledgeable staff that actually know the food they serve. While I did not dine in to experience the servers, I can only imagine they show the same passion for what they do, as I noted Jay back in the kitchen sharing positive communication with them. Also, a customer walked in and Jay clearly knew her as a regular and made her feel extra welcome. I really wish I was closer to this location, I would definitely go more often.
I love it this place

Recommended dishes: Hummus Shawarma Plate, Gyro, Chicken Mishwi Salad, Baba Ghanoush with Pitas and Falafel, Kibbie Plate, Aladdin's Salad
The hummus was creamy, the pita fresh and warm, the lamb platter nicely seasoned and the Aladdin’s Favorite was a big hit. But the service was friendly but distracted. We waited over 30 minutes for our entrees with only a few other tables. We didn’t get refills, nor did anyone explain why our food was taking so long until I got up from the table to ask. Maybe try a different location?

I was looking forward to eating there after moving away a long time ago. I guess Molly thought I was going to increase her tip for each time she rolled her eyes at me. Surprise! She didn't get squat. The food was also very middling, poorly presented and the patio was filthy with people at the bar next door standing outside smoking right next door. Molly, I know you think you have the right to assert your superiority as someone highly placed in the food service industry, but don't be such a ©unt.
My new diet.

They need to be a lot more attentive to the tickets on their takeout orders. First time I got take out (spinach salad) and I couldn’t eat it because I was given the honey mustard dressing instead of balsamic vinaigrette by accident. However, we came back to the area for a visit with some friends in Fox Chapel, and tried to get takeout again. Bad idea. Boyfriend’s tuna steak was way overcooked (asked for medium-well, came suuuuuper well-done), and my Jasmine’s rice was very dry as well. Our friend got the fatoush salad and said it was just ok. Overall the food was bland and not worth it to me. We ended up going to Starbucks and eating better there. Disappointing because the food at the Squirrel Hill location was pretty good iirc. Please have some more pride in your work, pay attention to what you’re doing, etc.
Vegetarian options: Yes, they have vegetarian and vegan options, but are they paying attention to your requests when they’re processing your takeout order?
Dietary restrictions: Good question. In my experience, and I have given them two chances, they don’t care half the time.

Got jasmines's favorite rice and veg with grilled chicken. Hot sauce is great! Potatoes could have been cooked longer.

We often go there with a group of 89 or 10 people, including two children under the age of six. The staff always accommodates us and serves us well. They also permit one to BYOB with a small cork fee. I am not a big fan of Middle Eastern food but I think, the food is fresh and wholesome and they have many many vegan selections.
