Would have preferred sitting at a table with four chairs instead of two chairs and a bench. We tried several of their featured drinks that were good but we probably wouldn't recommend them. We had read so much about this spot that we decided to try it for Easter brunch. Perhaps that was not the best of decisions, since brunch menus around Pittsburgh tend not to offer the best that its restaurants have to offer. One of the antipasti was excellent, but the rest of the offerings did little to entice someone back to try the regular fare. An easy 5-star review here for Alta Via in Fox Chapel. We enjoyed two great meals, chicken parmesan and a salmon filet, had excellent service, and were completely satisfied start to finish. It's a cozy little venue immediately off Rte 28, with plenty of free parking. I'd certainly visit again.
