I found an old gift card and was excited to use it (as their sandwiches are good). After making my way to Lawrenceville, I was told their gift cards expire after 1 year--which was not disclosed at the time of purchase or gifting. This is a fraudulent and deceptive business with little care for customer service or care--zero effort to try and make it right or amend the situation. I understand they are a small business and need to be mindful of revenue, but it is ridiculous how they scam customers! I can easily find Viet food elsewhere in Pittsburgh. Shame on them. The owners preach family values and an immigrant success story, but they do it by swindling people out of their money.

I got the black tea lemonade and tofu banh mi, while my spouse opted for the drunken beef and the classy chick banh mi (he says he forgot to take one out of the cart, but I don't buy it). We used to eat here years ago, and after moving back to the area, we were thrilled to see it still going strong. Even more thrilling was discovering that the food is still absolutely delicious! I adore this place—the staff is always friendly, and my pick-up orders are always ready when I arrive. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out on a local gem!

Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian banh mi and a tofu banh mi. I have tried and enjoy them both.

Parking: It's a popular area, and the parking can be a challenge, but it's possible to find a place, and you can usually find quick parking options.

The first time here and went with all the recommendations. The bahn mi was delicious (could have had more protein, but that's no issue). The spring rolls were fresh and light. The vietnamese coffee was very strong(which I loved), going to come back here to try their bowls and Boba next time.

Wheelchair accessibility: Has a little ramp for wheelchairs

Terrific banh mi sandwiches. We had their house special and it was phenomenal. The bread seemed fresh, the veggies were obviously fresh, and it had the perfect amount of pate and mayo. The shrimp summer rolls were excellent as well.

I love Vietnamese food, and I love banh mi, so it made sense for me to try this place out. You place your order at the counter, and then wait for your order to be prepared and then take out. There is a bunch of seating outdoors, but it can get pretty hot in the summer to be sitting outside, and I mostly saw people do takeaway. I got the signature sandwich and some shrimp summer rolls. The summer rolls were great. They were fresh, and the sauce was very umami and packed a lot of flavour. The sandwich was pretty good as well. The patty and the meat both seemed fresh and complimented with the pickled carrots. I just wish there was a little more herbs in the sandwich, like a little more cilantro and mint. Although the food was quite good, I found the prices to be a little bit on the higher side, specially for a place without any service.

Probably a bad idea to have access to a bahn mi place next to your new workplace anyway.

Vegetarian options: Lots of bread and a tiny amount of tofu.

Only bubble tea place I found so far that offered nondairy milk. They have oat, soy, and almond. I got the blue butterfly pea flower bubble tea with oat milk. Not super sweet and the bubbles were nice and chewy. No public restroom.Nice little outdoor seating area though.

Dietary restrictions: Non dairy milk options

I love the vibes and their menu options and really wanted to support a local business and was so hungry. But! the tofu bahn mi was fishy tasting and inedible. taro tea was too sweet and tasted like an air freshener. I am so sad and still so hungry:( not to mention this small meal was over 20 dollars with a good tip. so disappointing and will not return.

similar pov as person below. the bahn mi was good but fairly dry. i appreciate the vegan options but the sandwich would definitely be much better with a vegan mayo or other sauce!
