My chicken fried steak, eggs, and potatoes were solid, no complaints there. Unfortunately the service was awful. I had to get up and go to the counter to get their attention to place my order, and to get my check after finishing. They also only refilled my water once. They were not busy and the workers behind the counter were busy chatting with each other. I probably won't be back despite the quality of the food.
Regular hangout for Saturday breakfast. Reliable eats. Nothing fancy but a good home style breakfast.

New owners are a bit less attentive on service. Portions a bit smaller, eggs being the way they are, I get it.

I have always loved the food and the staff at Barb's.
The service can be slow, but many times I wonder if that could be helped if the owners pitched in instead of taking up seats at the bar constantly or sitting for 45 plus minutes in the back on the stupid skill games they've clearly specifically installed for their own use.
