This was AMAZING pizza. It is Ohio River valley style so it's served in slices with sauce in the toppings get added on after. It's definitely different from a lot of pizza places that folks have been to but the cheese is amazing, the sauce is amazing, any crust is delicious so it's the trifecta of goodness. Our only regret is that we only got two slices. Fries were delicious as well. And you can get free cheese sauce with them so it's a big star in my book for that.
Although Beto’s Pizza is technically Ohio-Valley style pizza, it’s a staple in Pittsburgh and was on my list of “must-eat” places. Beto’s has been slinging “cuts” of pizza for over 65 years. The incredibly crispy, yet forgiving crust, mild tomato sauce and cold shredded provolone, can be described in one word: interesting. I personally enjoyed the cold cheese atop a warm crispy crust. The pizza we had was absolutely delicious!! First time there and will definitely return. I had two slices with cheese and pepperoni and an Italian Hoagie. Have to eat the hoagie tomorrow, the pizza was filling. Great French fries too.
