Modern minimalist style. Medium-sized restaurant and bar. We were a party of two couples. The two men had well-made Manhattan cocktails and wine with dinner, and the ladies stuck with wine. We all had the beet/arugula salad to start, my date loved it; I could have done with a half salad. Located in the downstairs of the newer Tryp hotel in Lawrenceville, the Brick House is a comfortable venue with interesting and delicious food, and a well stocked and well-tended bar. We showed up early enough so that the place was practically empty, but really enjoyed our dinner. The pickle board was an interesting choice, and the flatbreads were almost crunchy, but with novel ingredients and really tasty.
The food was okay. The drinks were okay. Everything was a little over priced. Valet is $10 for guests even though the entire lot was empty. I probably wouldn't make it a point to return.
