I ate here yesterday !!! and could'nt get past the GUMBO. And that cornbread on the side, just made me do a MAMBO. Soon I looked down in dread as I lowered my head to see the bowl, empty,below. The quick thinker I am, to get out this jam, I just ordered four more to go! ( with peach cobbler and carrot cake for dessert).
Food is very tasty and prepared with loving hands. They are always ready with an encouraging word and prayer. Their commitment to the community is expressed in many ways including distributing free bag lunches when school is not in session and hosting special events.
The energy is so welcoming & the owners are personable & so sweet! This is hands down the best gumbo I’ve ever had!
Not to mention they help the community, you can’t beat enjoying a meal knowing you’re also supporting young people ages 16-24. I’m a Social Worker and that’s my population so I can comfortably support this business every chance I get. 🫶🏾🙏🏾
