Wonderful to have such a lovely place to dine in the neighborhood. Thanks to each person that came to our table.
Casbah never disappoints. Our meals were amazing and our server, Gail, was attentive and so helpful.
Always a wonderful experience.....from the Tuna Tartare and Scallops appetizers that were amazing to the lamb shank and Orecchiette dishes. We continue to rank Casbah at the top of our favorites.
A friend and I enjoyed a lovely meal at Casbah last night. There was a nice selection of menu items to choose from. The presentation was lovely and the meals were cooked to perfection. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Casbah delivers every time. Service moved fast without feeling rushed. Our waiter suggested the lamb shank, and the recommendation landed. Tender, rich, and cooked right. Food quality punched above the price point. Staff felt welcoming and attentive from start to finish. Pricing stayed fair for the level of food and experience. Easy place to recommend. I will return.
Gale is an excellent, personable server, who we were lucky to have again. We enjoy the Festa di Pasta, and last night was another wonderful evening. We started with the mixed marinated olives, one of our favorites, done perfectly and served quickly. Our beet salad was shared and accompanied by the outstanding homemade bread. Other runners made sure we were sated, when Gale was busy with other guests. Both of us selected the mushroom lasagna and were quite pleased with this offering. Two cappuccinos and a shared orange cake topped off a fine evening. Valet attendants complemented our evening out. Kudos to Gale and your staff!
We had lunch on Wednesday, 1/21 & all was terrific from food, drink, & service. My lunch partner is not a very good customer as she complains about everything. Our server took in stride & offered to remedy the situation. My partner just was not very nice. No fault of our server or Casbah. Server went above & beyond.🙂
delicious food. we will be returning! our favorites were the duck entree and the flourless chocolate cake.
Lamb shank was everything you want - succulent Good accompaniments. Lobster with pasta was so good-couldn't stop eating it-very rich-should have taken some home for leftovers. Flourless chocolate cake with berry sauce - perfect ending to the meal.
This would be straight fives, because this is one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh, and the service and food were wonderful, once again. Where I am dinging this a point is on their noise policy, or lack there of. We were mostly through our entrées when a table of three ladies were seated next to us. Shortly after sitting down, the one took a phone call on her cell on speaker with full blaring volume. At that point it was OK, they were probably in their late 70's, so maybe some had hearing issues. We figured when the call ended the phone speaker behavior would stop. But she next played a cartoon to show the other two ladies at full blaring volume. It went on quite some time. They then ordered something with the waiter and there was a brief break in the noise just to speak with him. But then they put on TV show or streamed a show, full volume on speaker. There was nobody next to them on the opposite side, and adjacent to them was a large group talking, so perhaps didn't notice or mind. But we did. We said something to the waiter to the effect of. “isn't there a policy on this“. He is a wonderful guy and we try to get him all the time. He said, let me look into this and see if I can do something for you. Nothing happened and when he returned next they were blaring another streamed show on her phone. I said something to him again about isn't something going to be done about this. Perhaps a manager could've come over and politely told them they have a noise policy? He checked with the front desk and came back to us and said “come, we're going on a field trip. I'm taking you to the bar.” we moved to the bar and we had a shared dessert and a drink that was already ordered while still at the table, but we were served it at the bar. I suspected that at least the drink or desert would be comped to make up for the inconvenience of relocating us versus addressing the problem. It was not. Great place but they need to take a stand. This is not a cheap rest.

One of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. The food, ambience, and service are equally fantastic. The saffron lobster pappardelle is one of my favorite pasta dishes anywhere. Gale is an excellent server, he has taken care of us the last few times. Highly recommend.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The drinks are okay but the food is amazing! We had the calamari, hummus and artichokes. All were delicious (best calamari ive ever had). For entrees we got the duck, steak, pork chop and short rib ravioli. Each dish was delicious we were blown away. Everything was very good

Wonderful menu and wine selection. Complimentary parking with validation. Server was cheerful and checked but not timely with wine refill orders. Waiting to finish my meal but no wine.

Though the restaurant was barely half full, we were escorted to the lower level, which is always seemed to be the overflow spot - and definitely not favored. It would even seem that it's not favored for staffing either. And it's rare to be escorted there. The restaurant never really filled up so it was unusual. They us upstairs as requested. It seemed as though it was a lackluster evening.
Not having been to Casbah in a while, I was delighted to see that the quality remains top-notch and that the menu had adapted seasonally. We ate quite well! Our server was personable and attentive, gave us time to chat and enjoy. He was great.
