I have been to this restaurant many times. There are so many choices on their menu's that it's very hard to decide what to eat. The food is excellent, the service is exemplary. They have great sushi and since it's not listed here, my favorite is pork with green string beans. The servings are quite abundant and I have never left there without a leftover container.

Wow. That is seriously all I can say right now.I've ordered takeout a few times but had just gotten boring basics for my kids who don't like spice. I just went for lunch and got some more authentic dishes, and I'm just blown away.Gourmet for sure. I cannot believe that we have a place this delicious in Pittsburgh. It was absolutely phenomenal and I will be returning for sure. I can't believe I haven't tried some of the different dishes previously. Thank you so much!

Wr have been patronizing the Squirrel Hill location for years. It was 5 stars and had no rival. However, since the opening of the second location in the North Hills, the food has suffered greatly. The pickled cucumbers are bitter (no longer peeled) and are so pungent with onion flavor and have lost the delicate flavors that came through. The Changeling chicken is bland, I assume since they no longer add the Schezuan peppercorns. Also, the smoked duck is now mostly mushrooms where the previous recipe had no mushrooms at all. Another favorite, the sesame cold noodles, have also changed. The noodles are now gummy and hard and do nothing to soak up the delicious sesame sauce.Tonight, I ordered the Shredded Pork with Sweet Flour Paste. Typically, it's a delicious dish. Unfortunately, it was so overly salty that I couldn't eat it.It's been incredibly disappointing to see their food quality go so downhill.

Great family style Chinese dining. All the dishes we ordered so far from the classic Chinese American and the authentic Szechuan dishes are amazing. All were cooked really well. You can taste wok hay, which gives the dishes a nice smokiness. I recommend the beef ho fun noodles or any type of protein you like. The sausage fried rice is delicious. Sautéed vegetables and the happy family are also a good choice. The brown sauce is delicious! Price was reasonable for 11 people. In my honest opinion, I feel like McKnight needed something like this, something refreshing. I hope that Chengdu will continue to get business and stay for awhile.

Food is so good and reasonably priced. They have a menu of adventurous Chinese food and American Chinese food so you can come for the fun but bring your aunt that only eats fried rice.

Food was not fresh, service was poor, basically no service at all and a twenty percent tip was mandatory. Will never go there again. Dogs don't even eat.

Food is nothing special. It’s like Chinese food from a food court. Noodles are overcooked and mushy. Green beans are overcooked as well. Food has not much flavor.

**Edit** I'm so confused about this place. Most recently, I ordered Gen Tso's Chicken and Sesame Chicken. What I got was 2 orders of the exact same thing but one had untoasted sesame seeds sprinkled on it and the other had a few Szechuan peppers. They looked and tasted identical, and they were not even good. Edible, but not good.Another time I got Kung Pao Shrimp. It was quite good but there were no peanuts. Guessing they forgot them? So, I guess the most useful review for this place is a list of what is good or not good. Consistently and not.Unbelievably good:Chongqing Dry Fried Chicken (consistent)Spicy Crunchy Shrimp with pepper (consistent)Goodanything in brown sauce (consistent)lo mein (consistent)fried riceChongqing spicy noodles (inconsistent)cheese rangoons (consistent)Kung PaoDry fried broccoliGreen beans with pork bitsNot goodGen Tso's ChickenSesame ChickenDumplingsPrevious Review:I had the Chongqing Dry Fried Chicken, which is one of my favorite dishes elsewhere, and it seems to me that is the single greatest thing ever done with chicken. In addition to the heat, there is a sweetness, garlic, and, I think, parsley. The various flavors stand out in turns. My eyes are tearing, my nose is running, my mouth is tingling from real Szechuan peppers, and I cannot wait to return. We also had veggies in brown sauce, veggie lo mein, and cheese rangoons. All were solid.Service has improved significantly. This location is not BYOB.Previous review:Delicious fare with a large authentic menu. We found the brown sauce to stand out like no other. The dumplings were fried crispy on just one side and, so, disappointing. The beef in hot oil was good but not great. The Chongqing noodles were delicious.
