We used Common Plea as the caterer at our wedding at the Heinz History Center, and while there were a few mild logistical hiccups throughout the process, they were great! Cassaundra was our assigned coordinator, and she was very helpful. On the day of the wedding, everything could not have gone smoother. The food was incredible.

Common Plea Catering was a hit at our wedding at the Heinz History Center! They are an exclusive vendor at the History Center, so we were required to use them, but WOW! The food was amazing (we’re still getting texts from our guests about the Pierogi Bar!), the service was fast and spot-on, and everyone within Common Plea was accommodating to all of our requests! We had multiple people with allergies and dietary restrictions, and they made sure that there was no cross contamination. They also provided special meals for those with serious allergies and/or dietary restrictions, such as the father of the bride – he has swallowing/consistency issues, among many serious allergies, and Common Plea served him a plate that followed all his restrictions, and he loved it all! Additionally, my new husband and I wanted to spend Cocktail Hour alone, to get a chance to soak in the day – Common Plea provided us with a Bridal Cart with all of the hors d’oeuvres and served us our dinner! It was a life saver because we didn’t have any time to eat during the reception!Our Event Planner was Cassaundra, and she was amazing to work with throughout our wedding planning process! She was fast with emails and always responded to my millions of questions. Cassaundra also gave us numerous suggestions, which is really helpful when you’re way out of your league with wedding planning! (Shout out for recommending the Blackberry & Brie Canapes – we’re also getting endless compliments on how tasty they were!)We were nervous to have a required vendor, especially for something as important as food, but we are SO glad that it was Common Plea Catering! They really helped to make our wedding day a beautiful and unforgettable day! I would recommend them to anyone for their catering needs!

All the staff was friendly and helpful - and the cookie table setup was second to none. Serving staff, bartenders - everyone - was friendly and professional. When you hire the best you can just relax and leave everything in their very capable hands.

DO NOT USE!! The event manager, Jessica, is severely unprofessional. The food was good but she is simply holding this catering company back. Unless you want her marching around your event making guests uncomfortable, stay far away.

They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Everyone absolutely loved the food and commented on how well it was presented! As you can probably imagine, getting married during a pandemic was pretty stressful - but they made everything so much easier. Leading up to the event, Stacy was in regular communication with us and our venue around the everchanging local ordinances and was always incredibly accommodating with any requests we had.As for the day of the event, the staff was unbelievably attentive and the food was incredible. Speaking of which, make sure you check out the wild mushroom risotto! We never had to spend a second of our wedding day worrying about catering and people are STILL talking about the food.

The whole process was great from beginning to the big day - it was all wonderful! Beautiful presentation of food and all of our guests were raving about the food! Highly recommend!

I can't say enough great things about Denise and Martin and all the folks at common plea. Not only is the food delicious but the appetizers are all so different and unique, it's unlike any other caterer. They are also super organized and made sure everything went perfect on my wedding day. They had so many creative ideas outside of providing the food in terms of setting up the tables and different decoration ideas. I would book them again in a heart beat!
