This place is phenomenal. I'm sad it will be moving from its southside location, but it sounds like they're retaining most of the staff so there should be little that actually changes besides that we now have to drive to visit them. Best of luck on the move!

Always a fresh and delicious meal here, absolutely love their green and beans and the bread sticks for appetizers, salad and soup were both delicious. Main course we had 2 of the specials which were both out of this world and the desserts did not disappoint either!! We love this little place and are excited for their new location!!!
Upstairs space really noisy with hard floors, hard ceilings and hard walls with no acoustics. Also extremely creaking floor boards. Server also rattled off several off-menu special items but didn't offer the price for each, making you ask what the prices were. Being cash only also is very inconvenient in 2024.

Great Saturday dinner! Had the sautéed calamari and shrimp appetizer, Caesar salad, house special seafood linguini, and the chargrilled veal chop. All delicious. Desert was tiramisu and chocolate cake. Will miss them being so close as they're moving to Greentree.

I absolutely LOVE Cucina Vitale! The atmosphere is top notch - it's always well-peopled, but not packed and uncomfortable. Having the kitchens in view is fun and interesting and Mike, our server, is always happy, personable, and helpful. The food itself is out of this world. Delicious fresh pasta, amazing sauces, delicious starters, and mouth-watering desserts. My only complaint is that Cucina Vitale is a three-minute walk from my house, but they're moving! No worries though, I'll definitely be making the short trek to the new location because I love it so much. Thanks Cucina crew!

The food was incredible. It should be noted right up front that this is a BYOB restaurant so bring a great bottle of Italian wine with you. Corkage fees are low. I believe it is also cash only and so bring enough. There seems to be some confusion between and who is managing upstairs and downstairs reservations, so I'd recommend just picking up the phone during business hours and finding a way to speak to a human being about your reservation.

Last minute decision to find Italian for my daughter as we drop her off to Pitt. Could not have found a better place. Service was great, food incredible and desserts outstanding. Veal parm was easily cut with a fork, Ravioli of the day was insane! One of the best Tiramusu you can find.
