Dropped by for a quick dinner. We had walked in with no reservations on a Sunday night. The restaurant was full but the receptionist was quick to put together a table. The food was delicious! Soup was authentic and ingredients used were fresh. The alcohol selection were of a good variety of good sake brands. Our server was Tyler, he has been attentive, friendly and made our experience enjoyable! The restaurant itself has a great decor and atmosphere. I especially like the t-shirts on the servers, so adorable. Will definitely be back!

Came to Fujiya last Friday night after my friend recommended it. They offered me bar seating because of the long wait. The food was ok, service was bad.
Waited 20 minutes without getting any food I couldn’t get the bartenders attention so I had to ask a server to check on my order. A couple minutes later he come back and talk to the bartender before she said the kitchen was slow tonight and its coming soon but I watched a table who came in after me get there food before me. The Kaiser ramen was hot but scallops still had the fins and I had to ask to get chopstick to eat.
Seems like the bar is where you sit if they don’t want to deal with you.

If you're a fan of Japanese cuisine, especially ramen, Fujiya Ramen is a place you can't miss. With a warm and inviting atmosphere, this restaurant takes you straight to Japan with every bite. My favorite here is the Spicy Miso Ramen, a true masterpiece of flavor. The broth is delicious, with just the right amount of spice that doesn’t overpower the other ingredients. The noodles have the perfect texture, the chashu is tender and melts in your mouth, and the touch of corn and green onions provides the ideal balance.
For the perfect ending, I recommend the matcha and vanilla mochi. The soft dough with the creamy filling is a fantastic combination, leaving a subtle sweetness that refreshes after the ramen. The drink I recommend is the strawberry Ramune—it’s incredible.

The food is good and the pricing is fair in store. The take out and online ordering is more expensive than in-store. The service both at the bar and table service is very slow and not very courteous. Could definitely be better staffed

Food is not only beautifully served but also it taste how it looks delicious! For me the portion size is great is not to much as usually is in some places, allowing you to try starters and desserts and not to little so you end up very satisfied at the end. The service is attentive and polite. The ambience is cozy.
(Tempura ice cream was not my favorite thing)

TL:DR - Amazing food, average pricing, great vibe, great staff.
Went here on two occasions and thoroughly enjoyed my meal both times. The Pork Gyoza (9.3/10) are so good here I would eat those for days and the Kaaeage (9/10) is also a great choice for appetizers. The Ramen here is great, personally went with the Spicy Miso (9/10) and it was so flavorful and rich (which I expect but still nonetheless enjoyed it). Desserts here are definitely not the highlight, but they do the job to cleanse the palate. Go here to enjoy a date night or hang out with friends, not too formal but also a little bit of dress up.

This is my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. I wish I lived closer to the city because I would go every day. I have never had a bad experience. The food is amazing. The staff is even better. I was a regular when I lived closer and Tiffany knew my name and my order even when I would dine in. It's the only place I go when I'm in the area.

This is the second time that I've been there .... The first time we were sat at the bar ..... The second time we asked to be sat at the bar .... Because of the excellent service from OONA - she is amazing, the food is amazing, and the service is amazing - you can tell how much this place is loved .... Because there's always a line out the door. When you see how many people are willing to wait, you know it has to be good. We're going to try to go back biweekly, that's the plan.

Four of us went on a Sunday evening in late January '24 and sat at the bar. We had drinks, apps, yakitori, ramen, donburi, and dessert.
Everything was very very good. Everything!
They were doing a brisk business, for good reason, but the staff handled it with aplomb.
Special kudos to our server, also the evening's bartender and service bartender, who kicked butt in every good way.

waiters like to take the card themselves walk to the bar and add on their own tip. when it’s not deserved.
The food was amazing! I had the cutest little cranberry margarita and the sweetest server, CiCi! The food was wonderful enough to visit again for but the service was so spectacular I know exactly who im going back to see! 10/10 service and the Naruto ramen was perfect🥰
