Amazing!!! Great portions for the price. Our server Ariana was great! It’s a must try
Sat at the bar. The hostess who was literally steps away REFUSED to do anything but seat people, even though they were clearly short staffed.
Limited menu but everything is very good. Spaghetti with bolognese, spaghetti with meatballs, gnocchi, chicken piccatta, beans and greens, etc. all great. Traditional Italian restaurant that makes their pasta and sauces in-house. No fancy decor, just great food and generous portions.
EDIT: the owner saw my review and called to apologize on behalf of the service. This employee is not longer with their business as of this week. So sweet. It really shows how much they care about their business.
AMAZING FOOD
We came with a large party on Wednesday May 6th. All of us were first time guests. Unfortunately half of our group cancelled last minute. I know this is less than ideal, I can completely acknowledge that! But the server made it very evident that she was pissed, making multiple remarks to our party and also to the gentleman she was training. She rolled her eyes at us numerous times. She had an attitude the entire time. I was honestly disgusted. I understand that it’s a bummer our party was smaller but we are still paying costumer and still a large party.
Also, we all got appetizers, drinks, food and dessert. She never checked on us after delivering our food. She was mad that we asked for to go boxes. At that time, I asked for a to go order and she rolled her eyes in my face. Then asked if we wanted dessert which we all said yes and she scoffed. Like excuse me? Gratuity was automatically 20% and us ordering more means your making more so what’s the problem? Honestly she’s lucky because with that attitude, she would not have gotten 20% from any of us. It was just so awful! Then she was mad when we asked to split the bill. I was a server for 7 years. It takes 5 seconds to split a bill. And she had one other table. She needs an attitude adjustment. Treatment like this would turn a lot of customers away!
The restaurant itself was soooo cute. Loved the atmosphere and decor.
Food was absolutely amazing. The Brussels sprouts are top tier. The bread is so dense and delicious. Portions are huge. Everything tasted fresh and so delicious. We all enjoyed our food. Will definitely come back and hope for another server in the future.
This place was fabulous! We thought their Ragu sauce with the short rib was incredible. The Bolognese was also very good. Dessert was great. The garlic butter for the focaccia was amazing. I’ve never had it like that, and I will be trying that again. A perfect date night spot or great place to take people when they come into town.
The server was attentive and my husband liked his salmon diavolo. However, our appetizers (fried mozzarella, caprese salad, and bread) and my rigatoni w/ meatballs were sadly bland. This place is too expensive not to have 5 star food.
Food was very good…..
We had my mother’s 80th birthday in the upstairs private room yesterday evening. It was absolutely spectacular!! Andrew helped us plan the dinner and everything was perfect. The food and the service were impeccable. Thank you to Ariana our server who was so quick and efficient while managing all 26 of us!!! This restaurant is so nostalgic and the vibe is awesome! Thank you for making the night so special!
Top 5 Italian restaurants I’ve had in the states! Delicious sauce, noodles, and bread! The sizzle butter and garlic confit was delicious and definitely a must have with your meal! The beans and greens were delicious! The portions were HUGE! We loved the chicken parm and rigatoni and meatballs! Service was excellent and our waitress was great! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and offering suggestions which were greatly appreciated. This will become a staple for us moving forward! Great for a date night or a causal dinner! Highly recommend.

Best restaurant in Pittsburgh. We have been going to Garbarino’s for years. Their food is the best Italian food in Pittsburgh, and it’s not even close.
Garbarinos catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding. The reviews from our wedding guests was that we had the best wedding food they’ve ever eaten.
Highly recommend Garbarino’s. The owner is unbelievably wonderful, their staff is 10/10 across the board.
Their faccacia bread with garlic butter is amazing, best tomato cream sauce ever. I don’t eat Brussels sprouts and Garbarino’s has the best brussel sprouts ever.

Good tasting pasta meal but sauce wasn't hot. Waitress never came to check on us. Never had really good service. No bread with meal. My crowd doesn't want to go back. Sad cause always a seat - never busy - can see why now.😢
