Generally I am a fan of Giant Eagle. I certainly am glad there is one close to where we are staying. That being said, there are many "sketchy" people around, probably because of the first bus stop after the underpass going from downtown is at the end of the parking lot. Now we have NOT been harassed. I didn't feel afraid. The store is clean but is smaller and didn't have all the choices I was looking for. Have I seen giant eagle locations that are in much better condition inside and out compared to this store, yes, I have and probably everyone has who has been to any GE location besides this south side one. This is not the best looking or feeling location but it gets the job done. This is the only major grocery with fresh produce that I am aware of which is in the area to serve the community.
