Good stuff. Love the atmosphere, feels like home. The owner walks around and talks to everyone. Sat at our table for a good time. Good food, great service!!! Also good live music, will definitely go again.

Everything was great (food, live music, ambiance, non-owner service) but the owner, who is solely to blame for this one star review. He pretended to be nice until I did something that triggered him which was not laugh at his badly-delivered jokes when he was drunk and had a conversation with my table. He thought I was offended at his jokes (I wasn't) that he told my table and kept insulting me to my friends eating alongside me, but I just didn't laugh because his delivery was terrible and he was unfunny. I tried to get up and leave because of his drunk and rude behavior, and he angrily told me to sit down, even though it was after I had already paid for my meal. Make sure you're always treated well as a customer.

A group of my friends here were visiting Pittsburgh and had a terrible experience. Enjoying a date night, looking to have a nice dinner and were treated terribly. They were waiting to be seated when 3 Caucasian women came in later, my friends were skipped over and these women were seated right away, with no reservation. The old white man who seated them proceeded to tell my friends “well we can’t kick people out their seats” when asked how long the wait would be. After the fact he just ignored my friends, clearly a discriminatory act. Do better.

Me and my boyfriend are not from the area and wanted to try the restaurant as the reviews were great. Walked into the restaurant to be seated and an older gentleman was the host. He barely acknowledged us and proceeded to give the last table to the group of women who walked in AFTER us. After then asking how long the wait would be he proceeded to tell us he didn’t know as he couldn’t “kick people out of their seats.” Didn’t bother staying, will be going elsewhere. Nice introduction to Pittsburgh.

My wife and I have a wonderful night every time we come to Girasole. The food is fantastic but our favorite part is listening to Jamie's angelic voice and amazing guitar playing. We loved his performance so much that we chose a song he sang as our first dance at our wedding. Do yourself a favor and go see him Tuesday-Thursday!

I have been here a couple of times and I love the whole experience: Good wine, good pasta, delicious dessert, people chatting around you, ....They do not take reservation but every time we sat quickly in ~10 min. Service can be slow but to be honest we got there on a Friday afternoon and it was really busy. I would not recommend this place if 1) u are super hungry and need to eat "right now " 2) you are sensitive to crowded spaces and noise. 3) u hate not having a reservation!

Amazing wonderful delicious good. I can say it’s the best Italian food I have had outside of my own. It was a great little hide away and we enjoyed more than we can say. It was our first but certainly not our last. Thank you for such a wonderful meal and service. It was an honor to meet Jimmy.
