We had a great time at Girasole in Shadyside. The live guitar singer added such a fun touch to the evening — definitely a highlight during parts of our meal. The house salad was fresh and delicious, and the pasta dishes were enjoyable overall. We thought the meatballs could have been a bit larger and had more of a homemade taste, but the tomato cream sauce was rich and flavorful.
Our waiter was incredibly attentive and friendly, and the hostess was an absolute delight — she even sang a couple of songs, which made the night even more memorable!
The only downside was the wait: it took about 40 minutes to get a table for our group of five, and the food took quite a while to arrive after ordering. We hope they can expand into the space next door, which would definitely help with the seating situation.
That said, we’ll definitely be back for the fun vibe and warm atmosphere!

Food menu was limited, and website should be updated, in addition to the menus non readable. Ordered the spinach ravioli, was good but very overpriced! The servings were small, but good sauce!

Great location and had been around forever! Love the food, but I do not enjoy how loud it is! Especially with how close together the tables are. I prefer to eat outside because of this. The food is always great!

I loved every detail about this restaurant. It's a beautiful, quaint, little place. I honestly love how packed it gets. I love seeing every single table full with people passing plates around. Aside from that the noise is comforting as it tells me people are indulging in one another and not their phones. The whole place runs like a well oiled machine! The food though?! TOP NOTCH!!! Get the burrata app with the corn. It was phenomenal. Our dinners? Equally as delicious! We got the potato gnocchi and the Pollo. Then came the desserts... scratch made and decadent. I'd eat the chocolate cake 10 times over and I'm not even someone that likes chocolate all like that!! First visit and definitely not my last!

This is the ultimate in Italian dining. It has some ultimate pricing but you will find your experience to be amazing. The staff is doting but not pushy. The squid ink pasta was crazy good. The ravioli were unbeatable.

Food is delicious and the portion is large!! Service is friendly and fast — despite the restaurant was very busy and we sat outside, the server was able to check in with us 3-4 times. Love the whole experience!
Only downside the inside is very crowded, and loud because the business owner put too many table inside the restaurant, the AC was not working well. Glad we picked outside.
