I've been in the hospitality industry for years, and it's not cool to freak out just because there are 15 people at your place.I simply asked, 'Is your kitchen open?'and got 'I won't take any orders now' as a reply. You have to keep it together and be more professional. Customers don't need to deal with your emotions and that kind of attitude

Best jukebox! Nothing more to say. Been to dozens of cool cities and dive bars across the US. This juke is a site to behold. First time in Pittsburgh too. Very cool city.

This usd to be my favorite local bar. I started almost 40 years ago and came back in the last COVID years. I found that the owner and weekend staff are still the same as they ever were. Recently I've found that the some of the bartenders that work during the week are thugs.Contrary to the ethos of the establishment they provide preference to there friends

The people here are so friendly and welcoming. This place had everything. It had all the gothic alternative punk rock vibes and I loved it. Larry was my bartender and he was pretty cool. I ended up playing pool with some people in the back and had a great time. This is definitely a go to staple when it comes to dive bars in Pittsburgh. Definitely my #1!

Recently moved to town. Every time I go here, I meet cool people. Pierogies are good and the portions of fries, tots, and chicken strips are huge.

#1 dive bar ever! The Squatch and company are a Polish Hill institution (they should all be institutionalized). Good people and always a good night.

Went for the first time. Totally chill place, felt super comfortable, great service, street parking. Only went for some drinks. Graffiti everywhere, somewhat obsene, maybe it's just there to weed out the riff raff? Diverse patrons, likely mostly local regulars? Yes there was a bit of smoke, to me it was more like restaurant smoke of days gone by, not like the thick, heavy, blue air I've often experienced back then. Yet most places these days have no smoking, so this place might seem like a lot?!To me, this felt like a bar taken over by a son, who had different ideas about a business, maybe a counter culture visionary who also has a business sense. Like that they have a nice selection of beer, mine was a draft a good bit far down the list, and it tasted fresh, not old and stale.Always thought it would be cool to have a bar, and to have one as relaxed as this one would be optimal!

Best place for a Guinness, when I moved to PGH back in ‘99 I was lucky enough to meet a friend who has been a local at this bar for over 20 years and i could see why. Amazing dive bar with chill atmosphere and the best glass of Guinness. I once walked from downtown to Gooski’s for a cold glass of Guinness! Always swing by now when I’m back in town and recommend for you Guinness and dive bar lovers!!
