I was part of a 10 person group, and they had space for us upstairs - where there were board games to play while waiting - and great menu. I look forward to going back!

Favorite place to hangout in Pittsburgh. The staff and the owner are lovely, the food is good. It feels like a genuine third space. Every time I invite someone for a chat, my default suggestion is Happenstance.

Lovely cozy coffee shop nestled into Lawrenceville. Barista was incredibly kind and made excellent drinks out of my ube white chocolate mocha and strawberry matcha.

There's a very nice outdoor area and patio that I can't wait to see in the spring.

The upstairs seating has multiple rooms for cozy seating and privacy to read or work.

Genuinely loved this shop and will be back.

This space is so amazing, I wish it was in my neighborhood! It's such a unique space and there's tons of rooms, which makes it great for events. I went for a social hour and it was the perfect venue for it. The food looked delicious and I had a really great mocktail. Would go back, for events or just to hang out!

I've been coming here every Thursday for a year now to play Commander. The owner graciously took us all in once Black Lotus Pizza closed. So if you ever want really good food, tasty drinks, and a little Magic the Gathering just pop in.

They've also hosted a lot of great artists, including one of my favorite local artists! Thank you Jill! Thank you Happenstance.

Very nice place. Employees friendly. Food and coffee very good. The seating space upstairs is wonderful, and I'm sure when the weather is nice that their outdoor space is great. I really enjoyed my time there.

super cute and cozy little place! we went for breakfast and sat upstairs. it felt like being in a bed and breakfast. drinks were made quickly and well, and our food was made quickly as well. the staff were all very pleasant to interact with. the food was hot and fresh and delicious. i do wish my breakfast burger had come with breakfast potatoes or a side of some sort, but regardless i would happily return.

Small place. Not a lot of tables. The food is good but a little pricey. Good variety of vegetarian options. We had the fried green tomatoes and a variety of breakfast items.

The Texas Tacos breakfast special was excellent!

Their back patio looks super pleasant, but I came on a day when it was too cold to try it out.
