Hitchhiker Brewing - Brewery & Tap Room

As someone who only drinks sours, Hitchhiker kills the sour/sour smoothie game. They always have super interesting combinations that even my non-sour friends enjoy. Plus the vibe of the brewery is awesome. It’s my fav one in the city!

Hitchhiker Brewing is an awesome brewery to grab a quick drink with friends or hang out for a while. They have plenty of beers on tap including very creative and flavorful sours. You can also eat something from the many food trucks that park out front!

The beer is good and the people are friendly. That's all that matters to me.

Rustic, spacious space. Not too warm despite no AC on a very hot August day. The beer list is huge (perhaps too big for a craft brewery) but everything we tried was fine. Beer ice cream is unique and surprisingly delicious.

A truly unique sour beer experience. Great craftsmanship of beers and eptomizes the craft brew experience. Also this is a great space, friendly service. Parking is tight, but usually plenty of neighborhood street parking on the weekends.

Honestly though, it’s nothing to write home about.

On 2/12/25 at approximately 920am, a hitchhiker brewing co delivery driver was driving on my bumper apparently heading to the giant eagle in mccandless. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw him flipping the middle finger at me while he was pulling into the giant eagle. I slowed down to see what his problem was at which point racial slurs were yelled at me. unprofessional employee and will not drink their beers again

Chill vibe, families welcome, on site board games. Nice beer variety! Parking is tricky due to reserved lot next door. But otherwise, super local spot!

One of the best if not the best brewery in PGH. Awesome layout and laid back space, great bartenders, excellent beer. Go here all the time, they have top notch IPAs and sours but great stouts too.

I quite enjoy stopping by whenever I can. They’re very friendly and always have bomb food trucks.
