I use to live in Germany and I really miss their food! I’m so glad we found this place in Pittsburgh!!! Very delicious. Friendly atmosphere!!! Yummy drinks and great server!!!’
Ordered via Uber eats, mind you it was about $60 worth of food. No sauces at all, no dressing on the Reuben. I’m very upset. I will never get food from here again. First time and last time.
"I had a wonderful experience dining at Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh! The food was absolutely delicious, with a great selection of authentic German dishes that were fresh and flavorful. The service was exceptional; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure our dining experience was perfect. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual meals and celebrations. Overall, a fantastic place to enjoy great food, excellent service, and a vibrant ambiance. Highly recommended!"

A lot of employees, it wasn’t busy. Not sure why I had to wait for the hostess for 10 minutes. Oh well, I was waiting for someone anyhow.

Our waiter / bartender was good and warned us that Thursdays are college night, and after 8 pm, it was fend for yourself from a service perspective. The meals were good, not great, and lacked flavoring and taste.

Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh acts as one of the places where loud and enjoyable coexist. For this it achieves what makes other places obnoxious. It’s a communal atmosphere that is a perfect mix of Pittsburgh pride and German culture and heritage.
As busy as it is, (or rather, we went on a day of the Steelers game. Never go to a German place that sells bier on a Steelers game day) the waiters were accommodating and quick with our questions and food.
The food itself was authentic in how filling it was. They offer a good amount of dipping sauces for your appetizers alongside the appetizers being big in size or in number. The Wurstplatte allowed us to sample all three wursts, which were cooked through and all had a good, distinct wurst flavor, and our menu allowed us to attempt a German accent.

Just went here for the first time. I ordered bratwurst. They were boiled! Was not very good at all. Our bill for 2 was almost $200! Our waitress was excellent! I have no desires to ever go back.

Go here for a good time and beer. It's a lot fun if you don't mind a place that's loud. Their food is great! Never been disappointed. They brew their own beer and they offer flavors to add. I recommend making a reservation and go on any day except Saturday.
