This location is much bigger than the downtown location. You can dine in for breakfast or get a coffee and pastry to go. I got the avocado toast with bacon. It hit the spot, but I wish I would've got something else. It's not really a full meal, more of a starter. The staff were kind and attentive.
The Speckled Egg is always a great brunch choice. This was my first time at this location and on a Saturday at 11am, they were BUSY. We had a reservation but they don't seat you until your entire party is there. Luckily, they're connected to Commonplace Coffee so you can grab a drink if you need to wait. Good food, great service, a streamlined breakfast diner experience through and through. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and our server, Phillip, was friendly and helpful. This was our last stop before leaving Pittsburgh and it left a good impression.
