Ichiban Hibachi & Sushi Bar

Both the service and the atmosphere are wonderful except for the food. The show is great however it taste a little plasticity especially the chicken. Maybe it was out too long. Other then that its great. It is slightly expensive however that's the price for good soild hard work.

Style of cooking is spectacular. The chef puts on a show and gives you a GENEROUS amount of food. I couldn't believe the portion on my plate. I ate that thang up tho with my sushi on the side. The sushi was so soft and fresh bursting with flavor.

Placed order through Doordash. Ordered filet and chicken and by no means was the steak filet, it was a strip steak. Assuming since it was close to closing and a delivery order they chose to give whatever they wanted. Food was a 6 in taste at best. Quality and flavor nothing like it used to be at this location.

10/10 would recommend!!! They give excellent service 😁 and give you your exact meal I would say it’s one of the best places to eat at in the waterworks 👍👍👍 if you’re new to Pittsburgh go to ichiban it WONT disappoint

Service was great and the food was awesome

The food is always decent here but I was not informed about up charges for asking not to have items, ie no onions with vegetables. I was charge 4.50 per dish when vegetables are included with the meal. I understand an upcharge for adding. The service was otherwise OK. The Chef was pleasant. Oh and the gratuity is automatically added for 6 people, and 20% for 8 I think. I only know that cause I read it in the menu it was not mentioned by staff.

For the most part the food was great. The menu used to offer a filet mignon, and I preferred it over the usual steak, but it's no longer available, which was disappointing. It was very busy for a Monday night when we were there, and the service was not as good as usual either. We were never offered refills until we got the check. All in all not bad, but they could do better.

It's definitely one of the best Japanese restraunts around Pittsburgh. Their quality has been consistent since they opened. The only reason I did not give higher marks for the atmosphere is the trash from across the river that dines here. Loud and obnoxious.

The food was excellent and always a lot of food. The only little complaint I had was our waitress, she was very slow. We waited a very long time for drinks and different things, kind of wanted to get up and get them myself.

Great for a quick hibachi visit. Food isn't always great, but hits the spot when it's wanted.
