I go here a LOT! Best coffee, excellent food, sparkling conversation. Love it. Normally I get a breakfast sandwich with vegan bacon, latte with simple syrup. So good

My bf and I found kaibur coffee while looking for some vegan and gluten free breakfast options, and their sandwiches and iced americano were incredible. We just moved to Pittsburgh recently, and the vibe and people at Kaibur have been so friendly to us.
Today we came in with a family member visiting us, for some breakfast sandwiches, and had a previously purchased, clear, unbranded coffee cup from another cafe earlier that morning. The barista with the purple hair told my boyfriend he had an “interesting coffee cup”, and then proceeded to come outside, interrupt us and the other people sitting there that we had met, to tell us to pour our coffee in another unbranded clear plastic cup to make “it less obvious that we didn’t get coffee there”. Again all of the cups were clear.
I could totally understand if we brought in branded cups, if our coffee was brand new (it was almost gone at that point), or if we sat down and hadn’t purchased anything, but the reality is that we went in and bought 5 breakfast sandwiches, and brought a new customer in the the cafe.
I do not care to leave reviews like this, but we truly felt so uncomfortable, and how the barista treated us was not cool. We were kind and purchased plenty of food. Everyone else has been super chill and kind to us at Kaibur, and I still recommend the cafe. It was just the barista that threw us off.
Such a great little place! Love the vegetarian options, homemade oat milk, and local sourced bread.
Alex makes the best BLT... It's very nice.

I came in the afternoon on a Friday with my family and had an amazing experience! Sarah helped us and recommend the berry chia which was DELICIOUS. We ordered some toast and Sarah chatted with us while we sat and ate. She told us about the record and comic shop in the building and we were able to shop around! What a wonderful afternoon thank you Kaibur and a big thank you to Sarah!

Great vegan breakfast sandwiches and coffee. They have donuts on weekends and they are also delicious. We hit this place up every time we’re in Pittsburgh.
The food is good. I usually order my food online and pick it up to go with 0 problems. Last week I decided to actually eat there. I got the feeling they didn't want me and a friend to eat inside. There were plenty of empty seats. I definitely felt unwelcomed eating there.

Great people, great food. Very vegan friendly! Vegan Banh Mi and Vegan BLT were out of this world. And the iced coffee was soooo good!

Just tried this place for the first time today with a friend who has been before. Awesome hole in the wall type of place, decorated with awesome artwork and vintage star wars collectibles. Music was choice. I was happy when Weird Fishes by RadioHead started playing. The person working told me the name of the radio station that he plays, which I didn't quite catch, but he was very kind. Got a great cold brew with almond milk and lavender syrup. And I tried my first Banh Mi Sandwich that happened to be the vegan tofu variety. When I tell you it an explosion of fresh flavors and textures. So delicious and refreshing on a hot day. Savored every bite. My friend got her usual BLT with vegan bacon, which she loves. We were talking about how normally bread feels like a waste of calories when it is not that good. But even the bread was devine ciabata. Haha, definitely this place out!

Quaint little coffee shop nestled in the hills of a residential neighborhood.
Small front porch with outdoor seating, coffee bar, some interior seating and a back room with a bathroom and larger table.
Cool Star Wars decor and delicious vegan sandwiches.
Vegan donuts were delicious!
