Outstanding spot for french food. great location to chill, eat some good food. the staff was very friendly and attentive. the bill was fair for the quality of the food. kinda of like a cafe in phoenix that i enjoyed.

Had the pleasure of going to La Riviera for Pittsburgh's Restuarant Week -- BEST deal ever. 3 course meal for a highly discounted price at a very high-end restuarant. My only complaint is that their ketchup is not normal ketchup and that really caught me off guard. Otherwise, would highly recommend, especially their Chocolate Soufflé with Pistachio Cream!

French food, yeah, my preferred treat. Cool place to meet and catch up with coworkers. Had a friend come into town and she asked me to take her here again. The bill was fair for the quality of food. Makes me feel like I in Nashville again.

My husband and I went here for a prix fixe menu. The food was pretty good, I got a steak and fries and foie gras. The foie gras was a little off putting because it was so thick but the steak was delicious and well cooked. The wait staff was nice but seemed a little inexperienced. My husband got a beer with no head and a beer with a comically large amount of head. The cocktails I had there were decent. It was fine trying the menu with the prix fixe but it seemed a little pricey for the quality of food.

Delightful. Happy hour with Cassie, highly recommended. Cocktail, wine suggestions, perfect. Cheese plate, phenomenal. Fois gras, delicious, I recommend that you order it without the balsamic, a bit overpowering for the dish. Enjoy.

Friday night I met a friend at La Riviera Bistro for dinner and drinks. We had a reservation for 7:45, but you can likely get in without having a reservation. It's a large space with ample tables and bar seating, but it still feels very intimate. We started with a few of their signature cocktails (my favorite was the Lillet Rosé Martini) and we were not disappointed! They brought fresh homemade bread and delish herbed butter while we waited for our entrees. Both dishes came out pretty quickly and were perfectly prepared. I had the Berkshire Pork Chop and my friend had the Boeuf Bourgignon - both were amazing! This spot seems to be flying under the radar right now, you should definitely go try it for yourself!

All I can say is wonderful place with exceptional food and exceptional service.

I hate to give a restaurant a bad rating ... so before unloading on this place, let me say that the water was good. Other than that, this was easily one of worst experiences I've (and my companions) have had in this price range. I started with the steak tartar which was virtually tasteless and accompanied by the hardest, dryest toast points imaginable. Perhaps to overcome the lack of flavor, the plate had a smear of some indiguishable pate. Both my wife and I elected the "classic" Caesar salad. The lettuce had an odd bitter taste and the dressing was anything but classic. For her main course, she had the boeuf bourguigon. The meat was dry and stingy and the polenta was lumpy and tasteless. The service was also sketchy. Yes, the place was busy but it shouldn't take multiple requests for salt & pepper ... or bread ... or silverware. Oh, least I forget, the noise level is painful. Sorry but I just can't recommend this place for dinner!

Granted this was Valentine's day dinner, which is a busy day... but i will NOT be trying them out again. Arrived at time of reservation, was told no tables were ready and there were 4 other couples waiting at the bar for their reserved tables. We should have been contacted so to decide whether to head over. No one could offer an estimate of when a table would be ready. No one offered us a comp'ed drink. And the service at the bar was SO slow (because the bartender was seeing to the crowded bar of patrons waiting for their reservation!). When we finally were seated the service was slow (they were just NOT prepared). We got two starters and some fair cocktails. Decided not to order dinner since we we saw how slowly things were going and had already been there 1.5 hours by the time we were finishing up starters. Positives: Steak tartare was tasty and the pâte was a nice balance on that plate. The foie gras was good too.

Disappointing Saturday dinner. Ordered 2 soups, both of which arrived cold. Attempted to flag down server three times before we got her attention. Sent back soups, 2nd try arrived hot. French onion soup was too tomato-y (!) and potato soup was under seasoned. Beef bourguignon was dry and served with an unpleasantly grainy (!) potato side. Pork chop was OK, but bean cassoulet served on side was cold (!) and unappealingly bland. Foie gras appetizer was just OK. Epic fail, avoid this place.

Waited too long to go to this place, but will be going back regularly and definitely looking forward to dining at The Twisted Frenchman upstairs, which looks like a great place for any special occasion, especially Valentines Day. The bistro downstairs exceeded our expectations by a mile. The owner and bartender (that evening) was very welcoming and made a tremendous Manhattan. The trout and the eggplant gnocchi was amazing. To top it all off, the vanilla bean cheesecake was unique and worth every penny. Can't wait to get back to the bistro, but really looking forward to the four course dinner with wine pairing upstairs at The Twisted Frenchman.

I had mixed feelings about the food. Some of it was really good and the rest was just meh. We started with the onion soup which was too rich for my liking - the broth was not light and soupy but almost like a gravy. The stuffed pepper was ok - nothing exceptional, it's something I could make at home. We had the onion tartlet which was probably my favorite and very delicious. The beef bourgeon-ion was pretty standard. None of the food really blew me away, or made me say I would come back. I had the chocolate soufflé for dessert - again - meh. It was not dark chocolate or rich chocolate at all, but tasted more like a chocolate flavored dessert. Not that, that stopped me from finishing it since I LOVE all things dessert. The service was great. Our server was nice, gave us suggestions - to be fair she was steering me towards the lemon tart, but since I love chocolate.. The servings are a pretty good size, unfortunately Overall the food was just not great enough to warrant a revisit.

I really wanted to like this place. However the service??? I was absolutely appalled. Our reservation was for 8:30pm. We got seated around 8:40pm and just to give you an idea of how bad the service was...we left at 11:30pm. There is absolutely NO exaggeration of that time. We were seated and told our waitress would be right with us. A few moments later the hostess brought water over to our table. At approximately 9:15pm our waitress came to get our drink order. We were pretty
