I ordered a vegetarian Gyro that was handed to me like a sad wet dog .
Soggy bread with oily greasy veggies with the tast of a grill that was not cleaned in a long time .
I paid 20$ for the gyro a drink and fries and dumped half of it in the trash .
I hope this wouldn't happen to someone else .
The service was Ok .

Saw this new place on Dec 31st, decided to order Greek burger. The meat tasted like cardboard, I took two bites and thrashed the rest.

Marathon Diner – Pittsburgh Airport
Stopped by the Marathon Diner for breakfast at 6 AM while traveling through the Pittsburgh airport. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired.
The cashier seemed less than thrilled to be there—a real “grumpy Gus” who made ordering feel like an inconvenience. The register itself wasn’t much better, covered in leftover scotch tape that’s accumulated dirt, adding to an overall unpolished appearance.
I ordered an omelette and coffee. The omelette was passable, but nothing to write home about. The coffee, however, was disappointing—weak and bland, as if they used half the grounds needed for a decent cup.
With so many travelers passing through, you’d expect a more welcoming and professional experience. Sadly, this visit didn’t meet those expectations.

Ridiculous small soup portion for seven bucks a rude manager. You have better options at this airport.

Ate here Dec 16. Got food poisoning from the sausage and eggs. I was sick all night. My brother had a Gyro. He's not good either.

I got the signature “Marathon gyro”. It’s basically a small portion of steak-umms. Not good and definitely not a gryo. The vinegar based coleslaw wasnt half bad, but, you would be better off going to McDonalds next door.

An oasis in a vegetarian desert
Did a lap of the airport looking for some veggie food - finally settled on a grilled cheese at the marathon diner - only to get to the counter and discover that they had not one, not two, but three - three(!!) Vegetarian options - more than most regular restaurants have on their standard menus! Service was friendly and prompt and the food (we went for the veggie burger and fries) was hot and tasty and delivered with a smile. Thank you Blue and all there ???
Vegetarian options: Black bean chipotle burger
Grilled cheese
Something else I can’t recall

Sometimes an omlette in the afternoon tastes so good! Great menu, prices (even for the airport), and my build-your-own omlette was great- with potatoes and toast

Quiet day at the airport, no one around. Grabbed some brekkie from this nice man working the restaurant alone. ? Good eats, normally insane airport prices. $30 for 2 egg platter, a sandwich, and two bottled drinks.
Good food griddle cooked fresh though. The real feel of diner food versus hitting the McDonald's or airport Dunkin. Must try the gyro sometime!

People were nice, but the food is overpriced prison slop. My wife's $18 chicken salad had chewy plastic tasting "chicken," and my burger was a dollarstore salsberry steak on a 50-cent bun. Thanks for the $40 disapointment. At least the coke tasted like coke.
