Came to get a coffee around 4:50 pm. There was a girl from the bar that was willing to make a coffee for us, but honestly she was not knowledgeable about how to make a latte or any other specialty coffee. We ended up ordering an americano but it was bad, cold and too strong.

What a magical place. Lovely modern-but-cozy atmosphere. Great cocktails, delicious brunch, and some of the best espresso I've had in Pittsburgh (make sure to ask for the single origin espresso!).
Loved the warm, flaky chocolate croissant and hot apple cider. A great place to meet for an out of the office meeting.

I started coming to Margaux a couple of weeks after they opened, and it has not disappointed a single time since. The quality of the regular drip coffee is what I would expect from an expensive pour-over at other places; I'd put their coffee up against the very best NYC shops any day. The atmosphere is like nothing else, somehow a mix of a nice cocktail bar and a productive co-working space in one. And the staff are so friendly (even staff on their first or second day!) that every other barista seems dour in comparison. I've spent an embarrassing amount of my time and money in coffee shops all over the world and Margaux is among the very best.

Lots of space to work and meet a friend. The vibe is slightly formal compared to other coffee places. There’s a bar, good coffee, food and snacks for breakfast and lunch.

Sat down at the bar to have a quick drink about 13:45 waiting for the bus. First time here. Had not one but 3 employees look at me when I came in and sat down.
Sat there for seven minutes and not one person asked me if I wanted anything. Not sure if you’re if you’re supposed to order alcoholic drinks at the espresso bar or what, no signage telling me to do so.
So I left and no one batted an eyelash.
You can smell the pretentiousness of this place the second you walk in.
When the older people in E Liberty talk about how gentrification is ruining this neighborhood they specifically mean places like this.
If you like uppity white yuppies then you’ll probably like this place.
If you’re not then it’ll probably be the worst place in town for you as well.
I’ll never be back and I’ll actively tell anyone that will listen to not come here.
What an absolute joke.

I thought the coffee was excellent, a second visit confirmed this.
Wasn’t loving the croissant, one of those bready ones. Maybe that’s just me.
Still my go-to in east liberty.
I come for coffee in the mornings and the baristas are always friendly and the coffee is great! It’s a great place to sit and enjoy your food/drink

Beautiful space, location, and service. Food? I have been at much better places and certainly had more creative food.

The coffee at Margaux in East Liberty was amazing, so smooth and flavorful. It made me poop, which in my book is the ultimate sign of great coffee. Cozy spot, friendly staff, and easily one of the best cups I’ve had in Pittsburgh.

Super cute place, great location, but the bartenders and the drinks TRULY make the experience! We had fantasticcccc drinks, and Isabel, our bartender, was literally the sweetest thing!! She made us feel so welcome, remembered that we were celebrating a special event, and crafted gorgeous drinks :) We will def be back!
