Einlauf Soup
A light, rich chicken broth, generously sprinkled with home made einlauf noodles and seasoned with a delicate blend of spices. Our einlauf noodles are made by pouring a seasoned mixture of flour and eggs into briskly boiling chicken broth.

10 jumbo cut fresh wings deep fried and tossed in your choice of sauce: buffalo, honey BBQ, or our house made sweet and spicy rub. *Our wings are also available in boneless.

Baked Kassler Rippchen
Smoked pork loin chops slowly simmered in our homemade sauerkraut and served with mustard sauce. This is a delicacy from kassel in the province of Hesse.

Nice old German bar restaurant in Pittsburgh's Northside. My 75 year old mother, cousin, cousin's husband and I all met here for lunch. To briefly summarize, it was a very good quality overall experience.

I had soup and split the Reuben sandwich with my mother. Both soups and the sandwich were very tasty. Max's was very busy during lunch on the day we stopped, Service was very good even during the busy lunchtime rush.

I haven't had authentic German food since visiting Vienna, Austria in 2006. I had heard wonderful things about Max's. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel with applesauce and french fries. The Wiener Schnitzel tasted even better than I remember it tasting in Vienna! Definitely authentic delicious German food! The applesauce had chunks of apple&was to die for. The food in this place was delicious! I couldn't recommend it enough. The food is a little pricy though, but it's very worth it for what you get. My service was amazing, too. They brought things on the first time when you asked and weren't needy on the "how's the food" or the refills!

Kid-friendliness: Came on Halloween, they were handing out candy!
