I had some raw oysters. Then, I had the flounder. My friend had the salmon. Excellent! I would definitely go again. Kirk our waitstaff was great, btw.
We were expecting a nice dinner before our show and they sat us at a table that didn't have all tableware and napkins set. Waters came after we ordered an appetizer and our drinks came. Waiter was too relaxed “I'm guessing you want some bread, right? Right?” One entree looked like it had just came out of an Outback Steakhouse. When you charge ~$30-50an entree, it needs to be better. Food wasn't bad but it wasn't > $300 good. We won't be coming back to this location.
The food was very good, the service a little too casual for the setting. I'm old, but I don't like being referred to as “you guys” or “yep” instead of “yes.” The noise level is very high.
Very pleasant romantic dimmed setting. Kirk served me at the table with fantastic and on-time service. Steak and mashed potatoes were perfectly cooked. Thank you!

Food was delicious and service was great, but there was a raucous group in the corner of the room where we were seated, and that was bothersome.
Young server was really good and friendly. The over all experience was real good but the food is what you go out for and that was average. swordfish was over cooked and dry the smash potatoes were not seasoned at all and bland. Nothing seemed seasoned. The Asian sauce for the calamari was really good.
We came to eat today (9/18) for my friends bday dinner. There was 10 of us and they were very accommodating. Our server Hannah was the best server and all the way around a genuine good person.. and they personalized the menus and she took lots of pics for us and made sure we had our cake to go.

Great food & good cocktails, along with excellent service in a laid-back yet polished dining room, makes for a perfect pre-theater dinner. Also, the bar area is one of the best happy hours downtown.
My complaint is that I ordered a chopped salad. It should have contained bacon. I had none and there was an apology but no other recourse. My wife's meal was to have mixed vegetables she got broccoli. The taste of the food was very good but I couldn't believe that there was no offer to atone for the oversights. Even a fast food restaurant will offer to do something.

Brandy our waitress was personable and attentive. The food was delicious. My Old Fashioned was prepared in front of me and was fantastic.

My husband and I had reservations for our anniversary. We ended up arriving in town earlier than expected and I was able to update my reservation quickly so that we wouldn’t have to wait. We were greeted enthusiastically and taken to our table. The restaurant itself is dark and there are dimly lit lights at each table. It was a little difficult seeing the menu with how dark it was but only a minor inconvenience. The food was very good, but many of the dishes were prepared (according to the menu) with odd ingredients. So if you like basic cuisine you will have limited choices here. I’m usually picky but I liked everything I tried. The only reason I gave a 4 star review for the atmosphere was the darkness of the room and for the food was the limited choices of traditionally prepared cuisine (and they were out of the chef’s choice, which is what my husband wanted to order). Other than that it was great.

My meal was excellent! I had the clam chowder, the alfredo , the wonderful cheesecake. Our server was named Carrie. She had a bunch of tables, but handled them well.
I’ve been to McCormick & Schmick’s before and had a great experience, which is why I wanted to try it again—this time for the first night of Restaurant Week. Unfortunately, tonight’s visit was extremely underwhelming, which is disappointing since the meal was $180.00 for 2 people, with 1 drink each.
The service was excellent, but the food just didn’t measure up. I ordered the Caesar salad, filet with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and the apple pie with ice cream for dessert. The Caesar salad was bland with minimal flavor. My mother, who normally loves clam chowder, said it tasted fishy.
The steaks were decent, but the broccoli was nearly raw, and the mashed potatoes were flavorless and grainy—reminiscent of instant potatoes. The apples in the apple pie were still crunchy and the crust was burnt and inedible. We ended up throwing the desserts away.
Overall, it was a disappointing meal. If you’re going to spend that much at a nicer chain, I’d recommend checking out Ruth’s Chris nearby instead.
