The staff were great and the Beef Wellington was absolutely worth the wait. I have to admit that I didn't pay the bill, so my “value” rating might be a little skewed. This was my first time at this restaurant and I will definitely go back.

I ordered the double cup pork chops, which was pastrami pork belly with spicy collard greens and baked beans sauce on the side. The greens and the pork chop were too salty. When I told the waitress, she stated “I asked you earlier How was the food.” Mind you this was before I even cut into my food because I was waiting for my husband to receive his meal. I could've dealt with that statement, but it was aggression in her tone and her attitude. She didn't even take the time to pay attention to the fact that I had not touched my meal yet. I spoke with the hostess about the water that tasted like it was made in the bathroom. He stated that he would request that I get a new bottle with the blue cap and let them know that it would be on him. Well, after 20 minutes of waiting, I asked my waitress for the water and let her know what was discussed. She said “he's just a hostess he can't do anything for you. You should've asked me.” Mine you she only came by before I cut into my food and when it was time to get the check. However, there were a few other others that stopped at the table who were really nice. Despite the rude waitress, my husband‘s food was good as well as my sisters. I would go back and request a different waitress.

Another great experience for our family at M&P. Nice restaurant, nice decor, service was excellent as well as the food. Beef Tartare is worth it everytime! It was ours son's 6th birthday and Eli made sure he felt welcomed and enjoyed himself. Another great experience! Thank you to the staff!

We have eaten at Meat & Potatoes on a regular basis and enjoy their menu. They also have daily specials that are great. We have had a number of different waiters and waitresses and they all provided excellent service. The French fries are fantastic.

We have tried to eat at this restaurant about a dozen times when we've come to see shows in Pittsburgh. We've made reservations online only to be told when we get to the restaurant that they don't have a reservation for us. This has happened at least twice. We've also walked up to the restaurant after seeing through the window that there were plenty of extra tables, even walking up not long after they opened and it was dead inside only to be told there is no seating available. It's starting to get weird. How do you eat at this restaurant. Do I need a special password or what?
We loved it here! It was so busy, there was a line first thing on a Saturday night. However, we were seated quickly and were still able to get out with plenty of time to get to our show! We got the special, a dry aged strip, and it was delightful. The bartenders were very attentive and provided wonderful service. We were so impressed with our first experience, will definitely be back!
