I've been wanting to go here for a while so I'm glad I finally got to. It was cool inside they had like an 80s night going on which was cool but because of it we had to pay a $10 cover charge which I didn't want to do but the drink I got, the woo woo was so good and the prices were cheap for that so that was good. The staff was really nice and the music was good, we really wanted food tho and they didn't have any but it was late so that's understandable they have a cool vibe with the pin ball machines right when you come in

Quirky place, but a lot of fun. We stopped by to check it out while waiting for a table at a local restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The theme was Alice in Wonderland with decorations and people in costumes. The drinks may be a bit higher priced than I'd expect but the experience makes up for it. The best way I can describe the place is that it has a distinctive old school vibe. There's not rows of Internet-connected TVs and people sitting around on phones. Instead you see people talking to each other amidst the unusual surroundings while the Smiths play in the background. It's refreshing to leave all the modern nonsense behind for a few moments to live something real for a change, even as you're doing it with a 6 foot guy dressed as the Mad Hatter.

Enjoyable place with good drinks and music. The atmosphere was unusual but cool, offering a fun time.

A great neighborhood spot for dance, music, & drinks. Creative theming, tasty cocktails, friendly staff. Can’t forget about the popcorn!

We were excited to go for the second time last night but repeatedly kept getting cut in line at the bar and bartender saw it keep happening and kept helping people before us. We were waiting right at the bar after waiting in line and she kept taking people that had just walked up and cut in front of us. I get that the bartender’s aren’t in control of the crowd but it was extremely frustrating after having had to pay a cover just to even get inside. She definitely saw us and we had no idea why were treated that way. Unfortunately won’t want to return even though the music was great.

This Illy Philly needed some culture in her life as she hasn't had some in a while... books, school and work...smh... I saw the information for the art installation of Alice in Wonderland at Mixtape and thought, YES!!!! I love Mixtape and their wonderfully crafted drinks and service. The Bartenders are always phenomonal, the drinks are absolutely lovely and good, and I've never been disappointed by their music. I also love that there's an extremely diverse crowd at Mixtape that adds to the atmosphere. I ordered the Looking Glass, which was a light, bubbly drink of Elderflower Liqueur, Brut, Orange Blossom, and mint, and it was refreshing and oh so light. They had pastries, so I ordered their cookie and a lovely and artistic cake that featured Absolem the hookah smoking caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland and prepared myself for a lovely evening.... this is easy to have at Mixtape....

We attended the Christmas pop-up Tinseltown on a night it had a jazz band. Paid extra for the jazz night. We could not enter until our 2 hour window began at 7 as they were "freshening up and getting the other group out." We were one of the first groups in for our time slot and noticed that some of the band members, band members family, and others that have been there beyond their 2 hour window were taking up some of the already limited seating. The place was really packed and admitting everyone at once created a long line for the bar in the back. I timed that it took a couple 45 minutes to get to the bar from their spot near the game machines. The bartenders were very nice and attentive. We only got one round of drinks being that we didn't want to give up the table we had and wait so long in line for another drink.Although nicely decorated, not a place to be if you get anxious in crowded and small places. Because of this, we left to go elsewhere. Nice concept, just didn't really workout.
