Pho Minh - the best tasting Pho in Pittsburgh! This is a small unassuming restaurant on Penn Ave that is huge in flavor and value. The beef pho (#14) broth is amazing with complex flavors and just the right amount of acidity. We added the entire plate of toppings. The grilled pork with spring roll over rice noodles (#43) was also tasty. A colorful, satisfying, inexpensive and delicious meal. The menu has many options and it is vegan friendly.
It is the best Vietnamese place in Pittsburgh. They are generous with the vegetables, tofu, and meats in their soups. The flavors are incredible & they always use fresh ingredients.

Pho Minh is a no frills small Vietnamese restaurant in Bloomfield and Pittsburgh. The place is cash only, no reservations required and no cards accepted, but an ATM and a PNC Bank Branch ATM are a 2 blocks away. The atmosphere is family owned, low key and typical of a small Asian restaurant. The broth in the pho is amazing, flavorful with a lemony zing and the key element is very good. Noodles are perfectly cooked, the pho with flank steak and tripe is big, the portion was so big and many take some home for lunch. Fried spring rolls are larger than normal, crispy, amazing filling and worth the price. Soup #22 is a favorite, the food is fantastic, awesome and delicious. Service is fast, kind, efficient and great, although some reviews have terrible service and a crotchety server. Prices are affordable, the price is pretty good and compensates. The place smells like a wet cat blanket, so bring cash, nose plugs and a sunny disposition.
