Worst sushi I have ever had. 3/3 people who ate the sushi got food poisoning/ threw up. One friend fainted twice and couldn't stand up. Also, the vegetarian sushi was packaged alongside the sushi with fish, which is not acceptable.

I had food from Mount Everest Sushi to the Hospital to my friend the door dasher refused to leave it at the Hospital and returned it back to this Restaurant! the guy answering the phone refused to help me, even though I asked him to help me get my purchase back, he said call monday and hung up the phone!

It took me years to try this place which is sad because their sushi is amazing. I love the prices, the menu definitely has options but it isn’t overwhelming. I came in around 9:30 after craving sushi all day and the staff was friendly and quick to help out. They make the sushi right in front of you. It’s fresh even right before closing. They have a water machine while you wait for your food which isn’t much of a wait at all. The condiments bar was clean, the entire store was very clean. The decor is very cool and welcoming. I will have to come back.

There is a good view of the corner from here if you like people watching, but other than that, move on. The sashimi I was served was not fresh. When biting into the salmon, the ice crystals and salmon mix were unexpectedly unappetizing. Also, it was served on sushi rice. Who serves sashimi with rice? There are very few drink options, nothing hot. So overall, it's definitely not my top pick for sashimi.

I’m a Pitt student and Mount Everest is by far one of my most favorite places to eat in Oakland. Every single time I go in, I am greeted with such kindness and spectacular service. The employees are truly lovely humans and they make the BEST sushi I’ve ever had. Thank you Mount Everest!
