My first time ordering from here was thru DoorDash and I got “The John Goodman”…….AMAZING!!!! Then I physically went to the restaurant this past Saturday 9/27 and ordered the Fish & Grits w/a side of pancakes……too literally die for!!!!! Excellent tasting food, great prices, and good vibes!!! First time visit won't be my last. Restaurant was very busy but we were seated fairly quickly. Very friendly service and a nice local atmosphere. A little rough around d the edges on first impression but the place is clean. Noisy but my frie d and I were able to enjoy a conversation without feeling like we had to shout. We did wait a bit for our food but it came out hot and fresh and our coffee cups were never empty.
The food. 12/10. I had the country fried steak and eggs. Delicious perfectly cooked tender crispy and seasoned just right. Over medium eggs were on point, creamy buttery grits clean made by people who know how to make them. This is one of my favorite comfort meals and it was easily the best I have had in Pittsburgh.
My friend had the French toast and she said it was delicious. She rarely finishes a meal when we go out and she ate every bite. We were both very full when we finished and already talking about coming back.

Cute little diner that prioritizes uber eats over the customers already seated. Everyone was very kind, but our food was cold even though we waited an hour. Had to go and get our own butter, syrup etc from a random host stand. Our toast was just cold oily bread. . . And then it was $50 with tip lmaooo

If I could give negative stars I would! The place is so dirty I don’t think they ever clean. Staff is rude and the food tastes like dirty grease. Clean this place up, should be shut down by the health department.

and the voicemail says the mailbox is full
some are paying with cash and some with card and its impossible to make a group order online

Every single person at Nancy's, customers and staff, was incredibly nice. We chatted with a gentleman at the counter who eats here every single day! We had a Monte Cristo breakfast sandwich (the bread was french toast!), and biscuits and gravy (allegedly the best in the city!). The home fries that came with the biscuits and gravy were perhaps the best I've ever had, and the two entrees were out-of-this world good. Wow! The food came fast, was hot and fresh, and the portion size was excellent for the price. The vibes at this establishment were fantastic, and I cannot wait to be back! Thank you Nancy's!

Proper local diner. The radio plays hip hop, the crowd is all locals and the food taste like home. Great prices and friendly staff.
Customer service was terrible I order 2 different meals and they put them both together in 1 box they didn’t accommodate me at all for their mistake or any confusion about their menu just a terrible experience I will not be spending with them again
