Lindsay is the best!
Customer service has gone downhill. They have a new bartender she is not as friendly as others in the past. If you are African American, they don’t want your money. Go somewhere else it is sad. :(
Everything here is always exactly average. I've never had anything offensively bad, never had anything overly interesting
The rooftop patio is great. I wasn't a big fan of the beer though.
Had their Holy Smokes burger and it was very good
Delicious wings, burgers, and fries. Excellent cocktails and friendly staff. Rooftop is nice but I like to hang at the bar.
Fun atmosphere. Overpriced drinks
Love the new look! Nicely done 👍 the drinks are fun and the menu 😋 Hawaiian food!! Some dishes I never had and well made. The food is provided on plastic plates however it’s a bar. Totally understandable. Fun. Great selections of beer. Great music. The staff is kind. The food didn’t take long and the prices are right. Parking can be tricky. You just have to get lucky. But totally worth it. Love the roof top. Took my HS son for lunch and then another time for dinner with friends. They can also host private events, something to consider. Not handicap friendly. If you can definitely check it out. Kids okay during the day, I wouldn’t do evenings. Gets crowded and more of a bar scene.

This is the spot I hit for my Wednesday night trivia. The food is above average for a bar and the staff are very friendly but there's nothing New Amsterdam is really doing to make themselves different from any not-dive on Butler St. Their beer offering on tap is solid.
Bring back the deep fried giant pretzels!
Parking: It's Lawrenceville, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights can be hellish for parking

I usually come here for some quick, good bar food and a drink or two since I live close. However, they recently changed their menu and it's very off. It has a Hawaiian influence (which can be good) but everything was really overpriced and missed the mark. Chicken fingers were like breaded chicken breasts (not crispy at all) and the cheese on my husband's burger was grilled and kind of burnt onto the bun. Overall, the mix of flavors weren't jiving. Miss the old faithful food. I hope they take this into consideration post renovations.

Affordable, good food. It's a local go-to
Had dinner there, the Sammy Chicken sandwich was awesome. The burger my wife had was excellent as well. Had the blueberry bumble berry beer and really enjoyed it. My wife's raspberry monitor hit the spot before our event.

Rude staff. Would not recommend for a night out in Pittsburgh. Dance floor is dead before 10 pm. Go a block over to the right for a better time.

Nice venue and they have some decent Dj’s come in. Bathroom is downstairs and they have an upper area with outside deck.
