This is the spot I hit for my Wednesday night trivia. The food is above average for a bar and the staff are very friendly but there's nothing New Amsterdam is really doing to make themselves different from any not-dive on Butler St. Their beer offering on tap is solid.

I usually come here for some quick, good bar food and a drink or two since I live close. However, they recently changed their menu and it's very off. It has a Hawaiian influence (which can be good) but everything was really overpriced and missed the mark. Chicken fingers were like breaded chicken breasts (not crispy at all) and the cheese on my husband's burger was grilled and kind of burnt onto the bun. Overall, the mix of flavors weren't jiving.
