My family went for lunch on Saturday, the place was absolutely packed! And for good reason, the food was absolutely delicious! And the service we received from our waiter was perfect. Elijah was very attentive and always happy to meet my toddlers many requests 😅 Also would like to add that even though they were super busy, it took them less than 10 minutes to get us seated and the food didn’t take long to come out at all. All the food was hot and fresh, even the strawberries were freshly cut. We will definitely be spending many more breakfast and lunch dates here!

Pretty busy in the early morning. One queue serves for getting a table and pay check. Not efficient for restaurant but not for customer. People new here get confused. Food is bit under expectation. Not that fantastic.

I am usually not the one for breakfast, but I had a really early class and I was extremely hungry, so I decided to come here. of course, this is a famed spot in pittsburgh, but unfortunately, I never got around to trying it. I got the hot cakes which they are known for with some eggs, sausage and bacon. Hot cakes are a baby of crepes and pancakes if I had to describe it. my friend got the chorizo hash with some eggs and toast. Honestly, everything tasted really good. The food itself is quite simple, but it is done well. My eggs were running as I liked them, and the hot cakes were pretty tasty as well. Also, the quantity of food and portion sizes are quite big. We were struggling to finish our meals. The ambience is that of a diner and even on weekdays, if you go during prime breakfast time, expect to have a wait time. If you’re looking for hearty rustic breakfast, I would definitely recommend this place, but don’t expect anything gourmet or very nuanced flavours. The wait staff were attentive to our needs and provided good service.

It was just alright a little tight in there and no where to park outside unless you get lucky otherwise you’re going to be walking around blocks hopefully just one. It is a very busy area stores everywhere and a couple hospitals and schools this is there Oakland location thus the reason parking is so bad in the area

Parking: If there’s anything available very busy area

Some say Pamela’s is overrated, but I absolutely love their Lyonnaise potatoes — they’re always seasoned perfectly. I think everything on the menu is delicious! I usually go for the mushroom omelet, while my fiancé loves the three-cheese omelet. We always share the hotcakes, and sometimes I get the turkey sausage on the side — it’s so tasty with the right seasoning. Everyone should try Pamela’s at least once!

I recently had breakfast at a cozy spot in Pittsburgh and tried their baked French toast topped with walnuts, berries, and chocolate chips. It was amazing—perfectly soft on the inside with a slight crunch from the walnuts, and the combination of fresh berries and melted chocolate chips added just the right amount of sweetness. The friendly atmosphere and attentive service made the experience even better.

Paid 20 dollars for a breakfast that was not right. The cashier put in the wrong breakfast order after i explained clearly the breakfast meal wanted. Then ask me to drive 30 mins back to get a the right meal. The host stated she didn’t hear me correct. There were other ppl who clearly heard the order right. Very diss appointed i have not eaten over a week due to wisdom teeth extraction. This was my first meal never again. 20 dollars down the drain. Im still starving. And paid for parking. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!

Pamela’s is a Pittsburgh institution and my family and I have been going there for many years during our relatively frequent visits. Most recently I dined at the Oakland location. The food is very good and also very consistent. Service is always terrific- impressive for such a busy place. One can count on being in line for awhile as they are always busy. It’s worth the wait. The space is pleasant and homey, perfect for a diner. Highly recommend.
