This is my first time trying Pauline's and it was packed with flavor and delicious. I purchased the jerk chicken, rice an cabbage for lunch and barely could finish because they gave me a large portion.

Purchased oxtail dinner with sides of rice/beans and mac & jerk chicken with sides of mac and cabbage. The food was pretty delicious. The sides are small. Price was pretty standard but definitely not a quick/cheap food grab.

Called in the order to pick up. Service was kind swift. They were transparent with the times it’ll take to cook. They were accommodating with mixing and matching the sides vs the online order form. They didn’t share the final price over the phone.

I just sent Pauline’s for the First time and lemme tell you I really paid 25$ for damn near nothing but rice and 3 Oxtail's that was all BONE AND FAT for real and the Rice was nasty and tasted OLD and let’s not talk about the Gravy it was Thick and just sat on top of the Rice SMH the cabbage was nasty no flavor at all Down in the South/ SIP we put like bacon or some meat in the cabbage for the extra Flavor or that’s how I was taught to do it anyways. I am so disappointed and don’t let me get started on the Plantain's just 🤢 I asked her before I ordered them if they had flavor because not everyone’s does she said yes I really paid 6.42 cents for them straight Garbage literally I would really like my Money back for this….. If y'all want some Real Good Stuffed Caribbean Food go to Island Spice in Carnegie I’m telling you they are the best they give you more then 3 or 4 Oxtail's with Actual Meat on them and the price is right and their Plantain's are packed with flavor 😋 they Never Disappoint oh and yes you have to get their Jerk Wings straight 🔥 I promise you I was actually going to go there today but I said let me try Pauline’s out being it’s right by me well that’s a One and done experience 30$ some dollars wasted I threw it all away after one taste 🤬🤢 And there was no Heat in there at all and that Poor baby was crying so loud I felt so bad for her and the smell was Not Good at all and I went against my better judgement just from the smell alone told me not to get nothing SMH….. People really need to do better for real because it’s us the Customers the People that keeps y'all Business up and running I think they be forgetting that if it wasn’t for us Y'all wouldn’t be in Business so do better with the Quality and Quantity of food y'all serve….. I would like a Full Refund for this it was Awful and I didn’t even eat it it was that Bad🥴🤬🤢

I absolutely did not come here just to write a bad review I came here in hopes to get some good Caribbean Food that was close to me but it was Unfortunate that that was not the case the young lady that took my order seemed to have an attitude and when I asked questions it seemed to bother her and you are absolutely correct I don’t know and I wasn’t trying to throw shade about that I just felt bad because it was freezing cold in there and she was probably cold….. And I was all the way home and didn’t have a way at that moment to bring it back or trust me I most definitely would have and you can clearly see the portion I got come on now for 25$ for that you know if that were you you would of been mad as well but like I said it was horrible the Plaintains had no Flavor what so ever for 6$ and some change for them was crazy so all together for 30$ and some change was the worst I threw it all away it was disgusting…..

I give good and positive Reviews when it’s due but I’m not gonna give a good review for something that wasn’t good sorry but not sorry and if your the Manager or Owner you definitely handled this absolutely wrong you would have asked me to contact you to write a wrong not respond the way you did…. And FYI it is customer’s like me that keeps business’s open because when it’s good it’s good and I spend the money and come back all the time FYI…. Thank you

This is my second time there and hands down some of the best Caribbean food I've tasted in Pittsburgh. I will definitely be returning. I got the jerk chicken and it was just the right amount of spice and the oxtail was excellent as well

The food is delicious, especially the plantains. There's a nice variety. And the black eyed peas colored my rice and chicken a light purple! The woman at the counter was helpful as well. There are only 2 small tables and a small standing area, so I didn't end up ordering the shrimp I wanted because it wasn't going to be a comfortable place to wait with my child 20+ minutes for them to cook that dish, but otherwise I really like this restaurant.

I ordered the oxtail with sides of mac & cheese and plantains. The food was on the pricier side of what I expected but it was well worth the cost. The oxtail was cooked to perfection in lovely sauce and was fall-off-the-bone tender. The plantains and mac & cheese were delicious. I would order from here again; I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food was food but the shop needed so much deserved upgrade. Seated at one of the two small table to have lunch I realized that they do alot of takeout orders. Again the food was a reminder of home cooking

The jerk chicken with cabbage and rice and beans is by far my favorite meal in the city. Order it at least once a week. Don't sleep on the beef patties either. I've been wanting to try something different but I can't stop getting the jerk chicken.
