I’ll save a bagel review for an update later but I needed to sing the praises of the vegan fig rugelach. It was an impulse buy that I couldn’t resist when I saw them in the case. The dough is light and flavorful and the icing has the perfect amount of sweetness. Also, despite the non-stop crowd the staff is very friendly and efficient. These are probably the best bagels in Pittsburgh. The texture and the crust are just right. The coffee was good too. I wish there was a place to sit down and savor them, though. Saturday AM there is a line down the street, and parking can be tough if you don’t live nearby. A little pricey for a bagel with butter, but it’s a REALLY good bagel.

As someone who grew up eating bagels in NY, my standards are pretty high. I would give the bagel and spread a 6.5. It was pretty hard and small but the flavor was good. You can tell they put a lot of labor into making the flavor good. Mostly it was texturally difficult to get into. The service is great, and it’s nice to see a bunch of queer people in a bagel spot. Ive missed bagels since moving here, but this doesn’t hit the nostalgia spot. It’s something very different than a bagel. Think round, thick, piece of crunchy toast with a good (but gooey) spread.

This place is fantastic! It's got everything you'd want; fast but friendly service, delicious food and coffee, and some fantastic decor. I got the garlic and sea salt bagel with the strawberry schmear. It's the best bagel I've ever had.

Come early or leave a good chunk of time for the line, and be prepared to wait outside. That said, the bagels are 100% worth it!!
Found this place while in Squirrel Hill. Excellent bagel sandwich and Cinnamon Honey Latte.

Absolutely obsessed with the bagels from here! This place gets busy very quickly but the bagels and coffee are always worth the wait.

Today was the breaking point. To be clear, these are very good bagels. But the line is interminable. I spent nearly 90 minutes in line, and was barely past the point where the line “bends” to be on the sidewalk. It’s been like this for so long that I can only imagine this is part of the point. If it is, it’s lost on me. Too bad, since they make a good product. But it’s absolutely not worth waiting in line longer than most Disneyworld rides just to get a schmear.

There’s a reason there’s a line around the block in the mornings. Very popular for good reason, good coffee and the best bagels in the city.

Bagels are a about as good as you get but with a slight caveat. I ordered a garlic and salt bagel. So did everyone else in my family. Only, I got a lot of salt. Probably an anomaly. Everyone else said there bagel was fine. My wife took a bite of mine and agreed. We're from Eastern PA, bagels are larger. But again, great bagel. There was a long line outside, not sure if that's the norm. Will be back again.

Waited in line for 44 minutes (they’re that good!). My and my friend’s bagels were fresh and delicious. Elaine took our order. She was friendly and sincerely apologized for our wait. While waiting for our food I noticed all the staff was pleasant and proud to work there. Later that day we went to Jimmy John’s by the convention center and it was dead. The employees there were so miserable. Having passionate employees makes all the difference whether it’s bagels or sandwiches.

This is the only approved bagel spot so far that I've tried and I love me my bagels.

Good, more is not always better. Got the traditional Lox ... ingredient proportions were out of balance.
Friendly staff. Excellent bagels. Vegan spreads available.
