About Pita My Shawarma

Pita My Shawarma in Pittsburgh is a highly recommended restaurant for falafel and shawarma lovers. It is a hidden gem that feels like part of the community, with customers from New York City and vegans praising the delicious, well-seasoned falafels, which are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The friendly owner greets regulars by name and makes newcomers feel at home, showing a genuine care for the food and the people. The chicken shawarma and falafel wraps have also received positive feedback for their great taste, though some have noted that the garlic in the shawarma could be slightly less strong. The menu includes fresh, flavorful options, with the loaded fries being a standout—crispy, savory, and piled high with shawarma and garlic sauce. Portions are generous, and the zaatar fries are a must-try. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service, making it a great place to dine, especially with its beautiful patio outside. Customers have praised the quick service, noting that the food is prepared fast and tastes delicious. The person taking orders is friendly and attentive, ensuring special requests are met, like adding fries to shawarma just the way customers want. The authentic shawarma features perfectly spiced chicken and garlic toum that is described as absolute perfection, bursting with flavor in every bite. A tip shared by one customer is to add chili sauce to the chicken shawarma pita wrap for an even better experience. Overall, Pita My Shawarma combines heart and flavor, and Pittsburgh is lucky to have it.

This was my first time here and expected something else but I did order and the food was absolutely amazing. I got the Shawarma Supreme Wrap. I was impressed as I had no clue what I was actually ordering. The baklava was very good. I will stop back in

First time eating at this food truck at the Freedom Farms festive and it was delicious! The owner explained that they have restaurants in Lawrenceville and Cranberry in addition to the food truck. Looking forward to eating from this vendor again. Highly recommend.

Food truck-terrible service, it took atleast 45 minutes to get our food. I ordered a shwarma &fries (which was made correctly)and loaded shwarma fries and they gave me 2 shwarma &fries. I went back up to the food truck to let them know my order was messed up and he told me that he ran out of bowls for the loaded fries but that it is the same thing just in a pita (it is actually not the same thing). Also the food was not worth the outrageous prices they are charging. Can not speak...read full review
